I don't have ISO board.... but if it would help people going at it I will order set later down the road. Question is out of 280 DSA Dolch sets only 13 people are from EU or other countries that use ISO layout? that can't be right?

iso kit is not that appealing without a full language pack and people just received their daily dose of DSA with the Retro GB (which included UK language anyway).

if we could run a GB with all EU languages (or at least 6-7)... that would be something!

Ok, sheepish newb question here: I'm going to buy a Full Hand ErgoDox on the current MassDrop deal (my first mechanical! Going to go with MX Blue for all the typing I do), but I'm a bit confused by the keycaps. I see that on the order I can just include "Blank PBT DSA" for $37... so what would this group buy provide instead? I see it's got the black/gray colors; is that the only difference?

the ones in the ergodox sale are oem profile/standard keycaps. these are DSA profile. that means that they sit lower on the keyboard.

I have received approval from OTD.kr for the stepped capslocks.
since we are to far into this for me to modify an existing kit....
Kit 9 will be created for all the remaining capslocks.

It will reflect the following:
1x 1.75u DSA GX Stepped CAPS LOCK - Left Stem with legends
1x 1.75u DSA GX Stepped CTRL           - Left Stem with legends
1x 1.75u DSA GX Stepped SHIFT LOCK - Left Stem with legends
1x 1.75u DSA GX Stepped Capslock      - Left Stem blank
1x 1.75u DSA GX full touch blank off side stem Capslock

This group buy would give you identical shaped DSA keys but they would be different colors of ABS plastic instead of PBT. If you are going for blanks anyways then you will want PBT unless you really like the two tone color options. PBT is a more durable plastic than ABS.

Also 1.75x size shift goes on the right and is for KBT Pure, 18xx, and some other boards. The 1.25x shift goes on the left and is for iso, and other language layouts (this is in reference to the RGBY kit keys description)

Thanks for clarifying Dan, I was wondering about that.

I'm not really "going for" blanks so much as that is the only option I am aware of so far for for the ErgoDox (that Retro GB looked fun, too bad I missed it). From my reading it sounds like blanks are not a bad way to go anyway as it will force me to do muscle memory for the new layout. I'll do some more searching and fire up a new post if needed; don't want to hijack this thread.

Up to you I don't think I'll be in for Kit 9. As much as I'd love a stepped caps, the rest of this set means I'm 99.98% there. Might be in for a few of Kit 8 - just need to do some keycap maths

That sounds even better! Numbers should pick up in a week or two. Gotta let everyone recover from GH60, MKC/Imtso case, and Dolch DSA.

awesome having kit 9 with all the extras, but I just cant justify spending on the whole kit just so I can use the left stemmed stepped capslock... I might join if it reaches 200 which I doubt.

Sorry for this post, but I think this seem more reasonable don't you think?  You will have 1 more kit, but at least this way you'll attract more customers....

If I change the existing sets now I interrupt the people that have already committed to buying the kits the way I originally presented them.

If I get enough of the people that ordered kit 5 to post in this thread saying combine kit 9 with kit 5 then I will do that. This is really the best option. There is no reason to not sell all the spacebars and mod/special keys/capslocks together.

Edit: merging the iso kit with kit 5 also might be a option to ensure that the iso kit sells enough.
but then I would have 50+ people mad because they have extra iso enter keys laying around.

and 15 iso kit buyers mad because they have to purchase the entire mod kit.

I can see how people would get upset for adding things to their order and bumping the price, you should leave it as it is. I also know that you are trying to avoid more separate kits which can mean headache....

But the kit 9 has no connection between the keys my brother, you have 3 different types of kits in kit 9...

Kit 1 (Blanks)
- 1x 1.75u DSA GX Stepped Capslock      - Left Stem blank
- 1x 1.75u DSA GX Stepped Capslock      - Left Stem blank w/ led window
- 1x 1.75u DSA GX full touch blank off side stem Capslock
 
Kit 2 (Legends)

EDIT: Have you considered that your ISO kit is missing bunch of language packs?  you only have the typical Eng ISO pack, try adding language packs to it and see how more people will join, ISO sells good only when broader option of language pack is added.
