you can open up the switches without desoldering correct, it says so in the first post and is shown visually in the pictures. you still have to de/solder to install the plate.

also depending on LED placement....you may have to desolder the LED to change anything.

yep, leds pretty much make a removable switch top plate a bit pointless. (if its a fully backlit board)

The Poker 2 plate will fit my Poker 2 PCB and case, right? It's not just for a Poker 2 layout with a GH60 PCB? Sorry if this is a stupid question...Just want to make sure before ordering.

Yes that is the idea, to wire solder the matrix rather than pcb mount the underside.

Not sure what you mean by "I think it works but not reliable". Do you think it may work but are not sure, or do you think it works but it won't hold the keys solidly enough?

PS - not unduly worried as if it is not stable enough I will use it in another project :-)

Standard poker X (1) yes because the switches are PCB mount, minus the one's with LED's.

Standard Poker 2 no.

poker2 version is the exact verion for poker2 not for gh60, poker version is the one for gh60.

Yes, you will have to desolder all of the switches to change the plate. Once you have changed the plate, you will be able to remove the switch covers without desoldering with this new plate...

Why doesn't the hhkb plate support the 1.5 mods on both sides?

I would think it would be a benefit. There would be more options, just in case.

Also, the pink option is still not available on the website. I don't want pink personally but it looks like it should be there.
