Yeah, I'll wait until February then I'll contact TH for replacements.  The only problem is shipping cost...

Also, anyone interested in this colourway?

looks good men, but having GB for one set might not justify the shipping costs after all.... We need GB for bunch of sets like the first GB such as the set you posted, classic,Dolch look alike, coffee and cream.... Since u say shipping cost have gone up, then would make sense to run GB for 4-5 sets at once agree?

Yeah, I'll try along side with the white caps as well.

No what I meant by shipping cost is a problem is me paying for missing keys especially for international orders. They're like $5-$6. US is about $3. Domestic is about $2. That is including cost of bubble envelopes.

Sure, the looks awesome as well. But my main priority are reverse Round 1 sets so we can build the poor man's CCnG, Red Alert, Raindrop etc. sets.

The thing is at these prices I'll basically buy one of each anyway :p

It doesn't seem to be the same key each time. Someone F2 * 2.  Someone D * 2.  Someone < * 2.

Is it worth finding an extra set somewhere and just break it up to send individual spare keys around?

If you can find a proxy for each country, or along the same line see if you can send all replacements to one willing person in that country, and have them distribute within the country.

Elton I think is fair enough that you offering replacement keycaps, and nice enough that you give that option + TH is willing to help. The guys who need those keys replaced they should pay for all the shipping charges, When I received the set from Feng it had a double key, men would I wanted to have the proper key and I wouldn't of argued with Elton who should pay for shipping...

That was never the option I couldn't even get replacement key... But when I bought keys from Imsto and they arrived broken, Imsto replaced all broken keys but I had to pay for shipping, at least he offered option for replacement.

Yeah I agree that shipping should be shouldered by the people who want t have keys replaced.

It's pretty standard fair and not Elton's fault. I know I'll be paying for my shipping if there are any that need replacing. My keys haven't arrived (Philippines here!) so once I get them hopefully they're good, if not I'll ship them.

Yeah I agree that shipping should be shouldered by the people who want t have keys replaced.

But those people aren't responsible for missing keys as well. I think the fairest thing would be to split shipping costs between the customer and the seller. Shouldn't be that much anyway for single keycaps in an envelope...

I LOVE that colorway. LOVE IT.

Would you do a whole set in each color? Then you can mix and match the mods and alphas as you like...

kbdlab in Korea is doing a group buy from Tai Hao.  I may do one here if interest follows.

http://kbdlab.co.kr/index.php?document_srl=77127&mid=board_gb_do

Each set includes
- full 104 standard key caps
- winkeyless set (4x 1.5u, 2x 1u, 7x space bar (fixed from 1st group buy))
- stepped caps lock

They're 18,000 WON ($17 USD) each set.

Looks quite nice. I do hereby express my interest.

Edit: Being unable to read the language, I am curious -- what type of keys are they? More ABS doubleshots?

They're the same as this group buy's materials; ABS double shots.

They already have 700 sets of interest, so the MOQ is already met, unless we break it into the 1000 MOQ range. :D

So are the only offering this one set?

I am basically interested, but I wanna know the details first. I assume the mockup is not accurate and it will actually have win and menu keys right? Also will the "´" and the "\" be in mod color or alpha color?

Honestly, if there is a Round 2 from Tai Hao I'd prefer straight one colored sets for easy mix 'n'match :)

I haven't received any detailed information yet.  I've talked to True Custom (the one running this) about this yesterday and asked him to send me more information.   Right now I'm reading off the poor translation from Google.

I'm sure they have double shot windows and menu keys now though.

Yeah, that would be optimal, but I don't really want to run anymore group buys atm..lol

Yeah, round one was a massive project. Thanks again for suffering though it  :p

I don't even know whether a single set is actually a good deal considering international shipping. I mean round one worked because most people ordered one of each...

That would look pretty much like most OEM sets.

Can those be obtained anywhere? I would love to see a Tai Hao set like that
I stay busy with work and family these days, but I'm still around, lurking.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Koreans have done it but we haven't, I'm sure we will be able to hit MOQ and most likely if you run that Dolch look alike + the Classic with black legends its will be only 2 sets and shouldn't be problem reaching MOQ here on GH.

But question is are you willing to, maybe your still feeling burned out from the first GB and you need more cool off time?

EDIT: Windows logo looks fine with me, better than blank + its DS

Is that blue or white LED?  Either way - looks great :)

Both Dolch and I guess light Dolch look good, I think the classic would look much better with black legends and they have done that previously with alps DS caps. We already had colorful GB, lets do some throw back and go with some retro style keycaps both Dolch and Classic hopefully with black legends.

The thing that makes me really happy about Tai Hao is that they have already made this available:

1. Off center stepped capslock
2. x7 space bar
3. 1.25 windows  DS key
4. 1.25 page DS key

Not sure if they have made x1 R4 window, page and Fn keys, but blanks will do the job for them. It would be shame to miss out on a full blow set now since they already have moldings for these keys and they offer them at a slighter price bump.

I would love to see next GB for Dolch, light Dolch and Classic hopefully with black legends, if not then I bite the bullet and order the Classic with blue legends just because Tai Hao has showed great support along the GB communities.
