the hype is just a smokescreen. Being that I'm at the point of not carrying anymore I don't mind saying it so everyone knows.
Meaning what? He just gives them to whoever he wants?

best example are dibs. He picks people he likes and gives them clacks

So what if he picks people he would like to give to? If you're a **** on the forums, and he knows you're a ****, then it's his prerogative to do as he pleases and not give you one.

There's a bit too much self-entitlement going on here.

Well, "people he likes" seems unfair. He picks people he thinks are deserving, right? He only has so many to give. Personally I would love to have one for personal enjoyment. I'm not looking to amass a huge collection and I'd certainly treasure it. I can't afford to pay hundreds because I have to buy myself food and underwear.

I like the rule where you must have been a member before April 1. Hopefully no one flipping them.

Same, I can't justify owning loads of these. I would be content with 1-2 caps in a color I really like, to display and be proud of.  :)

I have faith in him!  It's been awhile since his last sale.

Ooh "unknown" and "great clack hunt contest".  Has cc done contests before?  What did they involve?

Im hoping he doesn't show them before. Keeps the "Suspense" real, and kinda only enables people to really choose and ready up their emails when the countdown is finished *cough*

Calm down, friend :)

There will be more opportunities. Realize that many members have been here for years and have never received a clack from a 4Grabs. It is also very unfair to clickclack to make emotional statements like, "I cannot believe this ****. Hopefully he has some empathy…" Please refer to this post for some perspective.

Is it very, very time consuming?

I would assume that the actual making of one cap would take a minute or so and still wouldn't be ready for sale quite yet. But designing molds and getting them made and ready for actual injection (if they do injection molding) plus materials and tinkering with colors is probably the most time consuming and very expensive part. But even at a minute or so per cap, if you have to make hundreds it could take a long time. And if your mold only makes one at a time I would think popping the cap out and re-setting everything could be quite time consuming. Then you probably have to file off sprue marks and imperfections and all that stuff afterward. Then packaging and shipping each one. So yea, it's most likely a lot of work. These guys deserve applause.

Not only is it time consuming, the ingredients are hard to come by.

1. A Chuck Norris tear.
2. The Soul of an SP Executive.
3. Retsin.
4. Crushed Leprechaun Skull
5. a shot glass of Glengoolie Blue

And those ingredients are just to start the multicolored flame that heats the plastic pellets!

I figured out how to not get bummed out like any other clack sale! I just won't enter because I already know for some reason he doesn't pick me anyway. So I will just dream that I get a dibs one day.
It's so hard to watch Clack sales pass by when you don't have any money.

IT'S. SO. HARD

but clacks are really cheap....it's only the 2nd hand market where they are expensive

I think I'm going mad.

Here's my desk. All set up and ready. I have the iPad running the countdown timer app sync to atomic clock in US. The PC is connected to a fiber network with multi browsers on. And the Mac (with multiple browsers too) tethered to the iPhone 3G network, just in case the fiber network failed on that morning, so I have a backup! All these gear for that sub milli second submission!!

And the Seiko watch, just in case, you know...

I hear you. Countdown timers don't work well on my phone, I'll be in very poor coverage area on a 3G phone that takes anywhere between 7-15 seconds to do any task. I may as well not even bother for either sale but I can't sit back and do nothing or I'll kick myself later. So I'm going to sneak off for a bit, drive my work truck to the top of a crushed rock pile, stand in the box, watch the countdown until it gets close (if it doesn't say the wrong date that is as it often does) then countdown the rest in my head using the 1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi method, point my device to the heavens, hit send and pray to the Clack and Bro gods!!

This is probably the most comprehensive preparations for one of these sales that I have ever seen!

Me?  I'll probably miss the sale as usual (it is some time Monday morning for me).
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

One ****ing day late. I cannot believe this ****. Hopefully he has some empathy as I am obviously not trying to turn a profit or hog any clacks, I just wanna make my dream board. I already had it all planned out  :'(

Yep. I've been here 18 months and I've been without luck so far, I still love the hype and suspense of these though.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Dat be sum cereal prep work, yo :)

Ugh~ So I tried not posting in here after this new sale news (I'll most likely 99.99% be out tomorrow during the time of sale :'( :'( :'( ), and I've tried to get my mind off of it by watching some Archer, but even the bloody good show won't leave me alone!!! R.I.P.

You gonna miss BOTH sales? :(

I'm with you, brah. Fingers crossed! I've never actually gotten anything in a 4sale before even on my PC (only flash sale and EK), so it'd be a miracle if it worked on my phone... but I'll be in a rural area so ... *sigh* Fingers crossed, braw. Fingers crossed.

Yeah I'm loving the more unusual names on the list, top of my list will be the unknown ones! Can't wait to see the new designs, got my email all drafted and ready to go :)
