Another Update ( not sure if the contest is over or not, but I figured I might as well keep it going )

Got my second set of PBT front printed caps ( like my XT has ) to put on my QFR

Also lubing the reds, and since I've found a new love with lubed blacks, I may convert the reds to blacks via spring swapping ( I like the red plate too much to just go buy a stock qfr with mx blacks ) I did go ahead and changed the XT to full mx blacks ( lubed ) they feel amazing to me. and by far the best switch i've ever tried so far.

Photos will be up later today once I finish lubing the reds ( takes the scratchyness away ) and get the new caps on and clean it up a bit.

and thanks for all the compliments guys, means a lot.

It's so pretty!! I wish I could pull something like this off. I just have to hope someone is willing to be paid to paint my QFR for me.... :))

Oh I'm sure you'll be able to find somebody. You can also order a spare top case from the CMstore for practice if you get curious.

Thanks, maybe I will give it a shot. I painted some parts on my case that were black white... I'm just scared of the sanding and all and it turning out terrible.

Your paint jobs are amazing! How is your first job doing? Has it been affected by wear very much?

Do you think sanding sticks for modeling would be good for getting at the small bits of rubber in the corners easier?

That may work, I used a sanding block/sponge from Lowes. It was like $2.5 (for just one)

I thought about getting one of those, but I'm only really having an issue getting at the tiny spots like inside the space for the Esc key and arrow cluster
