The quote from Obook was:
Out-of-pocket expenses $62.96 (keyboard)
Freight charge $9.89 (airmail to USA)
Commission $14.17
Paypal fee $3.37
22.5% commission is pretty pricey, but since the keyboard is relatively cheap to start with, the total commission paid doesn't seem terribly unfair in this instance.
As for which link I used, some of the sellers list a choice of switch type, and some only list a single switch type. To minimize confusion, I randomly picked a cheap listing that was for blues only and had a good seller rating:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=8335258075However, Obook did some looking around and switched to a different seller for the same price, because of better location and free delivery:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=8442058132Note that this new seller offers a choice of switch types, leading to the possibility of confusion. The person I corresponded with at Obook didn't seem to have prior knowledge of Cherry switch types, so I had some e-mail back and forth with them to make sure they understood to order blues, and how to tell if the switch was blue or not (without removing a keycap). Hopefully nothing will get screwed up. If you choose to order browns or something, good luck explaining what those are like.
