« on: Tue, 04 March 2014, 08:55:40 »
I'll keep editing the OP and list Bnet IDs of interested members.

Hey guys!

Reaper of Souls will be released in ~3 weeks, so I decided to found a Geekhack (GH) Clan on EU.

I am looking for other Geekhackers who wanna do some farming / trading / XP runs from time to time.

If you want to join, just message me on Bnet @ Lechner#1358

Happy farming  :thumb:

Sure, I will play HC from time to time as well.

But I won't do it right after release, because I am afraid of server issues due to the massive amount of players during prime time (error 37...).

Nothing is worse than losing a precious Char because of a disconnect or massive lag that prevents the use of potions/spells...

I would still play some softcore but I'm really more of a hardcore player. Softcore gets so boring without a ladder like in d2.

Do you need to buy the expansion, or just play your old account and download the patch? Starting over?

You don't need the Expansion to enjoy the latest patch that brought account wide Paragon Levels, the new loot system and everything else.

But you won't be able to play Act 5 without it and of course you won't be able to get level 70 with new skills and passives. This also means you won't be able to use the most powerful items (level 70+).

I stopped playing when paragon level was 40... I guess I should get the expansion set to enjoy again. : p when is the release?

It's geared towards whatever we want it to be. I see the Clan as an official meeting point for fellow Geekhackers. When you meet others online you can do whatever you want whether this is HC farming, Uberboss Runs etc.

Just talk to the people you meet :)

« Reply #28 on: Thu, 03 April 2014, 22:57:07 »
Hello gentlemen,

I just created a diablo 3 clan for reaper of souls.  Search 'geekhack' and you should find it. The Americas is the realm. The clan tag thingy is gekhak cause it would only give me six letters. i am really digging this game right now. it is really fun with the new loot patch.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/tricheboars-1211/hero/3391881

anyway feel free to join it. i will accept everyone. except massive trolls.

I actually saw that thread right after I posted here.

And I would say, yes.  This thread should probably be merged with that one, since that one looks to have a little more Umph to it.

Also, pick up the xpac.  This is the first time, I'm having fun in D3 since it went live.  Never cared for vanilla much - things changed when 2.0 patch dropped.  Seems like the entire dev team was rolled off and they brought in a new team that's listening to the community a whole lot more.

I'm in the same situation, so a community would be great if there isn't one already. I tried searching but couldn't find one. How does that work for cross-region btw? Are clans/communities cross-region?

So, I thought these were region specific, but I can't find anything that confirms/denies it.  I'll be making a GH community from NA servers tonight.  Guess we can find out then.

Hey guys,

after Tricheboars' and my thread were merged we now have two Geekhack Clans on NA Bnet.

Mine is named "Geekhack" and uses the clan tag "GH" and Trichboars' clan is name "geekhack" and uses the clan tag "gekhak".

Please post in this thread which one you prefer, so we can disband one and have a single clan for all of us!

Thanks :)

Edit:   Of course we can disband both and create something completely new as well ;)
