Pwnmeal - Extreme Gaming Oatmeal
« on: Sat, 12 April 2014, 00:43:55 »
http://pwnmeal.com/

Marketing stunt at PAX East, making fun of marketing towards gamers.
It is done by Cards Against Humanity, which is a card game sort of like Magic the Gathering but with pop-culture references.
Each bag of oats contains a bunch of cards:

My favorite cards against humanity hand I played had something to do with Choirboys and The Vatican or Pope or something.  Sadly, the person who was judging was not as amused as everyone else.

What's church?  It was actually with some people I knew from high school (a religious one).  Everyone but the one guy's girlfriend, who was judging, thought it was hilarious.  Some people just have no sense of humor...or they were touched by a priest.  Speaking of that, could we make that a new TV show.  Since Della Reese is no longer doing Touched by an Angel, Chris Hansen is no longer doing To Catch a Predator, and Law and Order: SVU is supposed to be ending, we have a prime market we could sell the show to.

i used to play m:tg in 1997 and ate an oatmeal this morning.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I still don't understand the rules of CAH but some of the things written on them seem amazing

I was literally just playing CAH today. It's a good way to get to know a group of people really quickly.

The funniest/most offensive hand wins.

God, I wish Magic was more like Cards Against Humanity.

hmm, well, we civilized men eat pancakes and bacon for breakfast.  (Fried chicken and waffles works too.)

Then we serve the oatmeal (or "pwnmeal") to our horses and peasants.

(n00bs just get their @sses served to them.)
