Hi everyone,
Starting an interest check to see if people would like to get a QWER kit. Tho it will mainly target most of you MOBA (Dota/LoL/HoN) Players.
I propose the following keys:
- QWER replacement (Like WASD kits)
- "gg"/ escape row key
- LoL additional keys for your secondary spells and the shared keybinds:
The 6 keys at the bottom go over the 'D' and 'F' and the ping, retreat and recall icons go over the 'G', 'V' and 'B' key respectively.
(I have left out some spells from the kit as they are less commonly used and would raise prices significantly)
[/LIST]The 3 bullet points/parts will be sold separate and the keys made by Doubleshot with ABS.

Interested, but I have changed the hotkeys I use for lol to be one row lower :(. So my spells are asdf and my flash and stuff are cv. Maybe we can get it so the rows are interchangeable or something :D

Oh, it's not the gold that's throwing me off. It's actually the darkness of the colors. If the blues, reds, and greens were slightly lighter I think it would look great. Of course its up to everyone else as well.
Is it possible to make the recall light blue on white, ! ping red on white, and the fall back ping an orange/yellow on white?

Wouldn't that cost a lot more? If it does not, that's a great idea.

Depends on how much brighter the colors are in your mind. The colors I have right now aren't necessarily going to exactly the same when plastics are picked.

I would suggest maybe a lighter shade of blue. Also, I think it would be pretty cool to have an image for your ultimate. Not sure what, but maybe have it look different from QWE.
About the image for an ultimate,
It is possible, but I don't have an idea for it. I did think of just writing "Ulti" on it. But in my opinion it took away from the aesthetics.
I feel like these could/should vary in color. Yellow key for retreat, green for ping, purple(?) for recall. I'm new to the forum and key customizing in general, so if any of these requests seem a little ignorant of the cost/possibility just let me know.
Before I put the IC, i tested out some basic colors for VGB keys. I personally find that green barely fits in as it is now, but when I used other colors, It seemed to clash a lot and not look nice. The idea of changing each of those 3 keys to a different color is possible and will cost the same, but I personally think it starts making things less pleasing to look at.
All this is open for discussion guys, do speak up.

The idea is to highlight the keys you use in a MOBA game. And the hotkeys go over QWER just like the WASD kit

I think its a bit too oddly specific.

From the survey, I gather that most people have answered in the <$15 range. I want to get it to this range. But I'm working on a plan to make it happen round that price (but it all depends on the interest. More kits -> Lower Prices. But don't go ahead and tell tons of people come in just to bump my Interest Check). If this doesn't reach the "Interest" I need, it might be about $20. I'm doing all this on estimation and haven't contacted SP yet.
Note: I am only referring to the D,F,V,G and B keys set (LoL Specific kit) without the QWER keys. The QWER kit should be quite cheap because of either no legend fee or very cheap legend fee.

I think it was a nice "touch", but only really can be put into the <$15 range if 100 sets are made. So I'm thinking of scratching those to leave us with only VGB keys. Which leaves us with a much cheaper set and less "wasted" keys.

Or instead of icons for d and f, just stick with the letters.

It's only a week. But I think if I don't find any US person to run the GB, I will be doing it with people who are in Can/EU. I wish I could run it myself, but from my estimations of how long this GB will take, I will be shipping keys during my exam month. And I will not prioritize this over my university degree unfortunately. I don't mind doing all the preparation and contacting SP. But I cannot do the shipping itself (or at least not 50+ sets).

I'm just worried about one thing. I have a limit (its like $3000+). I don't think the GB will crush it (You'd probably have to get like 500 sets). But its in the back of my mind. I don't think it's too huge of a problem, I'm sure a few of my friends won't mind me using their receiving limit ><
Also if I pass money to you don't I have to give %3 to paypal?

I avoided their forums and other communities for the IC. Because I didn't want trolls when doing input. I don't mind trolls in the GB, either they buy or they don't.

But fundamentally as a game LoL is very bad in my opinion. You know how blizzard makes a game and it's right in almost every way. Well LoL made something and just threw it out. Very unpolished and then make the gameplay/mechanics really really imbalanced. They can't decide where they stand on game balance. Where is the fun in playing LoL when 99% games are just 5 people jump in and the higher dps wins. Crowd Control seems almost pointless and almost every new hero is "tanky dps". Theres a ton of things they do in balance that either goes against their phylosophy of how the game should be. The worst is making people have to get the "right" runes to be at 100%. Dota and HoN start everyone off equal so its a game of skill, not who's played so much they can get runes for all of their heroes.
Back onto it being polished, the game came out with Adobe AIR as its foundation of a UI. It looked terrible. I know this doesn't affect things too much, but the UI was so inconsistent it was different in game and in the game lobby.
I think one of the biggest problems I have with the game, is just how often they have to balance heroes. They like see "oh this is slighly OP" and then just nerf it to the ground just to notice they went to far. This is especially true when they make new heroes. Balancing needs to be slow and let the meta-game settle. People learn how to deal with what they THINK is OP.
There's more to my rant, but I'll write up my rage another day.
I do enjoy the game, but only because I troll really heavily and I like playing with friends. But The game itself gets like a 5-6/10 in my books.
That's just my opinion tho, I'm not saying "it's terrible and noone should play it and if you do, you are probably a horrible person".
The game is great for people who like playing casually and is nonetheless "FUN".
You may call me an elitist jerk, but that's just how I see it.
Don't get me wrong, I still have fun in it when playing with my friends (enough to overlook things I dislike about this game).
Anyway. I'm not here to **** all over this game.
I'm here to make purdy keycaps for everyone.

The game is so bad, I'm making hundreds of keycaps for the game. Makes sense right? xD

HoN is pretty much Dota1 replica. It's a matter of opinion and since LoL has a bigger player base, their negative opinions of HoN are more in numbers.

No, Deus EX 1 is way better than deus ex 2 "Invisible war". There's really no question. I don't know if one can really compare objectively games across series or genres, though.

Well, you can judge a game's quality by many different things, but if you really get down to it, "how good a game is" is usually based off how much you enjoy it, which is an opinion.
I understand that the quality of a video game is not only based on enjoyability, but also on other things too.

Anyway I have to agree with the balancing of LoL, especially when they balance heroes based on how good they can carry in elo "hell" which doesn't make any sense in my opinion, because usually people at that level don't have a good understanding of the game.

Some people may like HoN more than Dota 2 since they have changed up the heroes for awhile now. Its faster than Dota 2 also. The thing Dota 2 needs to work on is character design. HoN designs > Dota

I think Dota is more of a fan favourite since it's been around much longer and tournaments are run for Dota much more often.
Tho I'll have to say, to play any MOBA well, you need a good understanding of all the heroes and items. It's slightly better in LoL, but I feel dota (I don't know bout HoN cos I don't play it) really required good understanding to be good at it.
