There's a new KMAC in some early stages....

I really like it. It's just a HHKB Pro 2 with MX switches.

I wish I could get any of those Korean keyboards.

Maybe GH60 can design the PCB around fitting into that case....

Why don't they design a case that fits to our PCB...

The Phantom kit kicks ass! :-)  This is a work-in-progress.. still need to get a firmware on it and throw it in a case with some keycaps. It's variable-force, linear action. All keys lubed except the locks. I'll do a clicky version eventually with greens, blues, and white-stem/yellow-springs.

Yes.. Rappoo stems & springs inside Cherry switch housings.  I thought of using Cherry dark gray stems with the Rappoo springs, but the yellow stems are working ok so far.

Took a few pictures of my Phantom, but I just remembered I never got around to posting them.

Here's how it looks at the moment (or well, I changed the Esc key for a red one about two weeks ago, but whatever), sorry for the semi-crappy photo:

And a better picture:

Rollen!

A couple of pictures (pictures I'm a little too happy with :> - too bad puu.sh manhandles them and I'm on the world's worst Internet connection :<) of the original dress-up, which in my opinion actually looks better. Too lazy to swap the keycaps though.

Realized it looks kind of nice from behind too:

Really happy with the build, and since I built it I haven't used another keyboard (except for the Filco at work and the rubberdomes on my laptop).

Semi-interesting technical/switch details: at first I only used Greys on the entire keyboard (mostly to test them out), but since my fingers didn't really like it a lot I decided to go with Ergo-Clears instead, which had been my original intention. After having modded a few switches, I noticed they felt a lot lighter and "stickier" than the ones I had on my old (PCB mounted) Poker, and decided to go with Clears instead, which turned out to be the right choice. Feels great now! Also went with Greys for the F-row on a whim, turns out it works well for me. :)

Those phantoms are crazy awesome.
Although not as stylish as tenkeyless, i find the fully occupied layouts especially intriguing.

How hard is it to reprogram keys anyway?

The differences in profile are pretty much nothing IMO (with the exceptions of SP front razer row). I just hate how thin SP DS caps are. I like a cap with a lot of girth

Well, I'm just starting my Phantom project.  I just put this together to get an idea how it would look.

Used a Desko set (one without RGB modifiers) and some 1x cheat keys.  I put the Phantom plate into a Vortex aluminum case, which I want to have anodized to some other color than basic aluminum.

So this is just a first step:

I ♥ Click Clack.  I ♥♥♥ Bro Caps.

eth0s, how did you manage to fit a phantom plate inside a Vortex case? The Vortex case needs two little bends at the front and back of the plate to mount and the proper height since there are no standoffs in the case.

How could one make it work? Some kind of 2-3mm of material on the internal lip of the Vortex case to lift the plate?

I rebuilt my R1 Phantom using vintage blacks and Dan's stainless steel plate.  The SS plate is better than the original aluminum one.  The board is much more solid.  The blacks are interesting to type on.

Thanks!  Yeah, the Ragnarok set really looks great with the Litster case.  I kind of wish I had shot some black paint on the plate first.

The blacks are using the stock springs.  They were scavenged from an old Wyse terminal board.  My intent was to replace them with 55g Korean springs or something.  I have a few boards with reds, but this is the first time I've typed on blacks.  The vintage ones are very smooth.  I didn't think I'd like the heavy springs at all, since I don't care for greens and clears for that reason.  However, being linear I guess, it is actually possible to type on these without bottoming out.
