So here is how my dream PokeBoard (For GH60) was ruined:
38082-0

38084-1

38086-2

I'll be using this acrylic plate to make a dust cover for the keyboard.
38088-3

Note that the bolting is only temporary and I will use flat head screws with brass stand offs for the final version. I'm waiting on the brass stand-offs to come from China.

Well the problems are:
- Black acrylic has to be thicker, it was too thin and there was crazy warping like I had never seen before.
- Red acrylic just cut plain bad, will get this cut again.

So, yeah, I need to get the black and red parts cut again.

I tried to get the PokeBall look and think it looks good.

For tilting feet, I used the classic blue and yellow from the Pokemon title which is yellow with blue outline.

The time has come!!!! Except that I'll get the game later since Toys R' Us is shipping it to me instead of making me go to the store. I'm wondering if we should get another thread or even a spreadsheet going for nintendo friend codes.

Yeah I have, it is a recap of the first generation of games.
It skips over a TON of stuff, Its average on its own.
However its a really good nostalgia trip, and I can definitely recommend it to anyone who has played the first generation of games.

I went with Y, almost didn't just for the other mega charizard but the Y legendary is too cool.

Well, I'll probably finish the game today.  Then I'll have to wait until DECEMBER FRIGGIN' 27TH to transfer any Pokemon from previous versions.  GameFreak really has to wait more than two months to release the program for that?

I haven't played since Gen I, so all this talk of shiny pokemon has me quite confused.  Don't worry, I googled it, but it's still foreign to me.  This'll be an interesting experience once I finally get it.

Yeah, I played Gen 1 as a kid, then didn't play again until Gen 4 after high school. I didn't even want to accept any of the new Pokemon at first.  You should have a blast catching up.

Normal frog. After giving up resetting for shiny charmander in fire red recently, screw the shine.
And then second starter I grabbed charmander.

My current lineup is those two, a kadabra, a farfetched and leveling up the sword. Using a honeycomb thing to gather honey. Swarms are boss!

How did you get these shiny pokemons?!!

A shiny version of a Pokemon has a 1/8192 of appearing every time a random encounter ensues.  Most people go through the entire game without ever encountering one, and it's not a particularly good use of time to specifically try and get one, since your chances remain the same regardless of how many battles you enter.

In 4th Gen, there was something called "Chaining" to increase your chances, and there is still the Masuda breeding method, but even then you could sink a hundred hours into the game and potentially not get one.
