This set is a brilliant piece of work, Matt3o.
Thanks to you and everyone who put time into making it.

Any idea on when SP will give back the monies that weren't needed for our final order price?

Aw nuts it looks like my last minute order didn't go through. :(

Email SP and try to place it by email.  :P

Be sure to get 2 Icon RGBs.  Haha, so close to the next tier.  The Icon Pro Modifiers were within 1.  Damn...

Congrats for hitting 100 on the Text Pro Modifiers.  :)

Fortunately, I don't have to keep refreshing the GB's page every few minutes, so I have plenty of time to wait.  ;D

Yeah the annoying thing is we together paid $1421 (49 * $29) for pro mod kit. 50 sets at $25 would have been $1200. Even throwing one set in the trash would have saved us each $4.51.

This is a huge chance for SP to prove it has its **** together re: sorting and shipping. I hope they don't blow it; if a bunch of people end up with missing caps, it'll be ugly :(
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

Maybe Matt3o can negotiate something about this?!

Text modifiers were one short as well (199 instead of 200). Considering it's a really huge order SP might be generous enough to gift us these tiers :)

I have faith based on Macross, but this set is much, muuuch larger, so we'll see.

If SP lets me submit my order by email that'll bump the orders up to 200.

I know.  Some of those tiers actually make a difference for people too.  The people getting icon sets got SO close to saving like $10.

I hope SP appreciates our good business this community offers.  Maybe hooks us up with a couple sets to get us over the hump???  ;)

Damn, buying one more Icon Pro would have saved each buyer $5 (and over $200 for everyone in total).. Is there any chance of accommodating for this?

Edit: long beat. Tapatalk wasn't refreshing the thread for me before I posted this.

This multi-authorization, charge for different amount is royally screwing with my PayPal. Auth was mostly funded with PP balance but remainder went to a debit card... now the whole thing is held while the bank refunds the card amount according to PayPal... I hate PayPal.

Guess I'm looking out for extras when they arrive

Thanks for running this. Cool set.

Ugh, that sucks... the base doesn't include modifiers (tab/capslock/shift/ctrl/alt etc) :(

The size of the challenge depends on the size of the keyboard you want to populate. I don't think I am the only one who will have unused caps. For example, I ordered a text modifier kit just to have the 1u keys and the same with two Pro kits :) It may be harder to find a numpad kit but not impossible.
BTW, when the GB will start to be delivered you may find some sets from people who changed their mind or even some no longer used Retro DSA.

Wow yours happened that fast?
Mine was all through a debit, which was authorized for way more than what I'm paying, and nothing has moved at all.

Also, is anyone else getting email verifications for each individual set?

Mine was via credit, and paypal transaction history shows that one of the three authorizations has already been converted. The other two not yet.

I've gotten four mails so far for parts of the set. It was somewhat similar with Macross - they sent a bunch of mails, I just ignored them, and eventually I got a shipping notification.

Oh yeah? Mine was funded through PayPal by debit card. Now the original sum isn't refunded yet (it takes up to two days as I know because of my previous experience) and PayPal trying to pay final sum to Signature. Had to transfer another 120 bucks to my debit card, or it's continued to bombard me with messages about paypal trying to pay SP :)

I bought two blank RGB and a blank Base kit just to get around this issue. ;)

As a Linux user, I'm glad Matt3o didn't put those in the base mod kits.
I'm so tired of win keys.

there's no Apple or Windows keys. I've added a couple of "win" keys in the lost+found set and that's an exception that you'll rarely see again in my GBs.

I do not support Windows (or macos) and the set with "super" is general purpose. Even Apple dropped the "apple" logo from their keyboards. The windows key is an insult to man kind.

I can't describe this phenomenon, so I'm dropping a huge gmail post.

I'm getting emails for each individual set, but only four/five of them?

Same thing happened with Macross.
You can safely ignore them.

I got 8 of 'em.

I just submitted an invoice by email (thanks Melissa!) that includes 1x Text Modifiers and 1x Icon Pro, which should bump those both to the next tier.

Thank you very much Sir  :thumb:

Unfortunately this is not reflected on the oder page.

I hope the final invoice is for the new price tiers!

AFAICT you are getting an email confirmations for each order, not each set (at least that happened to me.)

I made one order for seven kits.  I got a email for the numpad, one for the text mods, and one that just took me to the granite page.

However I know they got my whole order because I can see it in my paypal account.

Well it's finally over. Congratulations on a incredibly successful GB Matt3o! Thanks for all the blood, sweat and tears you put in. At least 367 people appreciate it :thumb:

I don't know how the stats hold up against other key sets, but I'm pretty amazed how well the ergodox set sold. Hopefully this will encourage more people to put the effort in to adding legends.

Now to just forget I ordered anything so it's a nice surprise next month.

Well, I'm glad it's over - and over so good.
Now I only need to wait for refund of 144 bucks I paid at the time of ordering (slooow PayPal) and for actual shipping - which won't happen earlier then week or two in future.

By the way, Matt3o.... as you are talking with SP more often than we, why not suggest adding more pay options? Because, paypal...

I'm collecting all people's suggestions and report to SP.

I'm willing to do that only if SP proves to be responsive (so far so good), because honestly I really spent a lot of time on this and I'm not an SP employee :P

i only have one suggestion and that is about letting people generate some sort of invoice from the "my orders" section of the store page. would make it really easy with customs and stuff.

Slightly confused about the charges that my Paypal incurred during this GB. Maybe someone can help clarify for me.

So I placed my original order for $163 (all original pricing).. This can be seen in my PayPal activity, labeled as "Authorization". I later placed another order for about $50. This order generated no "authorization" charge at all.

Yesterday, when the GB ended, I received 2 charges to my paypal: $102 & $40. I assume these are the cost of my 2 orders after the price reduction from the various tiers that were hit.

So I guess my question is regarding that initial $163 "authorization" charge.

I know that in this thread, it was mentioned that you'd pay full price and that SP would "hold" that amount. Then after the GB ended, you'd be charged the corrected amounts. So will I be refunded the $163, now that I've paid $102 & $40? or does an "authorization" not actually deduct from your account?

If anyone could clarify this, I would greatly appreciate it.
