Sorry for the bad pic, but it was a nice day - 4 Blue Clacks, and Mass Drop led covers for cherry switches.

One can never have too many Salutes!  And I like those purple ones up in the top. :)

I couldn't agree more!

Dolch Pac 61.  Kind of dirty, but appears to be in pretty good shape without anything really looking shiny, though shine is looking like it will start soon on the F cap.

MX 8100 (per sticker G80-8113LRBUS).  I was hoping for Clears, but I got Browns.  I was also hoping for thicker PBT since there was talk that it might have thick PBT, but it's thin.  Oh well.  The Browns on the commonly used keys are some of the smoothest Browns I have ever felt though.

Could you do a review on the browns and how these broken in ones feel?

I'll try to.  I've never been a big Brown or Blue fan.  And I wouldn't call them vintage, just broken in.  The less frequently used ones definitely have that trademark Brown grit/scratchiness.

Could you do a review on the browns and how these broken in ones feel?

Mini review.  They feel really smooth, almost linear.  If you really stop and think of it, you can feel a gradual bump and it definitely feels different than a Black or Red switch, but it doesn't have that scratchiness that is the trademark of Browns.  It's like driving down a stretch of well paved highway that you can see the road going up and down, but as you drive down it, you don't feel anything jarring.  You just feel the hint of an up and down movement that breaks the  monotony of a flat road, but also isn't jarring like a stretch of road with a ton of patches and small potholes all over it.

I keep trying to confirm if it was a Topre only flavor along with Milk Yellow and that only Milk Blue and Milk Pink made the MX crossover, but clack research is like trying to solve a 20 year old murder case.

It is very hard to find clack answers! I had it on Topre and I have not seen it on MX.

To be fair, it's nowhere near as bad as all the modern Browns I've tried, but I still wouldn't call it pleasant.  The broken in ones are kind of nice though.

I had the same thought, but with all the GMK Cyrillic hype I thought I'd ask.

Got a new project I will be working on...

Just arrived - Silent 87U RealForce

Dat fresh EK seal... I sometimes just don't want to break it...

Ok... I'm gonna do it... here it goes....

Whew.... that was tough...

I love the new keyboard smell.

Oh... look what came with the RealForce...

This is the first thing you are going to want to do with this keycap puller...

Ok, this will do nicely. Or you can buy the cheap ones on EK which are also great.

Mmmmm.... purple.

The donor board (55g Cups Rubberssssss)...

I will post up when I finished the mod. Most likely going to add some extra lube to the sliders, as well.

GMK goodness :)

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So it looks like the 55g 87UB does not come with purple slider but the non uniform does. Strange.
And that orange caps.. I like! [WTB!!]

that variable weight is silenced.  the 55g is not.

Ah, thanks. So the purple slider represents silence. Duh!
Is this the same for HHKB Type-S as well then?
