If you haven't seen The Room, you need to add it to this list. It is one of the worst films ever made, and is hilarious.

Ha Tommy Wiseau, that movie is literally the worst movie ever made.

Easily the best line from the movie made into a dubstep song:

I got my picture taken with Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero a few years ago!

Look at me, so young, so full of promise.

At least "The Room" is funny because of how bad it is.

This is just painful..

Bahaha, who knew people would be interested in watching me grow a beard.   :P   If you watch the Many Faces of Geekhack thread I usually post in there from time to time.  I could throw in one from a few months ago when I had a more full beard.

Just finished watching "The Fisher King" with my teenage kids.

Even they liked it, always one of my all-time favorites.

Certainly some of Robin Williams' and Jeff Bridges' best performances ever.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

BTW are there any films from the list in the OP that have already been streamed? I seem to remember there being talk of Kung Fu Hustle and Akira being played, but someone could clarify.

Just wanted to know as I've made poster graphics for all the films in the list, and was thinking of using a post to store them for future use.

Kung fu hustle was TPs choice. It was drawn but never watched since he was MIA and I gave him a pass. So it's still in the list. Akira was not watched yet tho it was talked about a bit more than other films from the list were. Still up for the draw tho. Thanks again Coreda for all your work! You can PM me the stuff and I can add it to the movie list post so it's all close together at the start of the thread. I wonder if there is some way that a mod can give me ownership of Halversons "reserved" post that he jacked! Girlshark strikes again!!

All good then. For the posters I was thinking of storing them in a regular post so I can add/edit them whenever, and then when a movie is drawn you could replace the poster in the 'Now Showing' post.

I wonder if there is some way that a mod can give me ownership of Halversons "reserved" post that he jacked! Girlshark strikes again!!

I think I can do this.  ;)
Well that would be fantastic!

EDIT: Give it to Coreda if possible

Okay, turns out I can't give Halvy's post to anyone.  So we have two options:

1. I modify Halverson's post whenever it's needed.
2. I delete Halverson's post and your (YM88) post will then be in its place, and you can modify it (I would also be able to modify it if need be, obviously).

I don't see an easy way to give Coreda access to the post, unfortunately.  But I would gladly do either of the two options above.  Let me know!

Let me take a look at those posts. I see no reason why the original post and the Marquee can't be combined. That will open one up. DAMN YOU HALVERSON!! Hahah

Actually Hoff, you should delete Halversons post just to spite him!! And I guess to give me more freedom for organization as well. But mostly to spite him!!

lol Hoff. Really though, whatever suits you YM, as I kind of like the convenience of editing the graphics post so I might continue with that anyway :)

Continue with your current post Coreda. I'm just going to keep this new opened post available for anything that might come up in the future. It will remain a "reserved" post.

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since we've had a movie night. I would like to thank you all for being so patient! I would also like to gauge the interest in restarting Movie Night this saturday. If no one will attend then we'll wait until next weekend to do it. Hoff can try make himself available to stream if there will be some people watching but he won't able to participate as he has company that evening. This also means that the possibility of an encore after the regularly scheduled film is up in the air. Let me know here if you're interested in watching this saturday. If I see nothing here, it'll just make more sense to wait until next weekend.

Thanks!

YM88

We're back this week. Hoff will be setting up the stream this evening at the regular time. I'll make a countdown timer now.

Yes!  I forgot to post in here   :-X   but we will be back tonight!  I'm pretty busy so I'll be in and out, but the stream will be live regardless.  Come join us!

Well I think we had a successful stream tonight!  Lots of quiet people so there was no consensus reached for an encore and I had to get going on some work so couldn't monitor the chat any more.  In the future, don't be afraid to talk, people of the stream.  You don't need to create an account to chat and it helps me pick an encore.  If I always picked it wouldn't be much fun.  I like when the encore is picked by you guys.

Yea, it was strangely quiet in the chat tonight. I love chatting during the movies but I can't do it alone! Or can I? Sure you can! You think so YM? Ohh sure you can YM!!
