This year is already turning out to be wallet hack. Way too many sets and other goodies from vendors and group buys in only two months. Critical mass is approaching. I want to say no to this but may not be able to. We will see. Major kudos for at least doing a real base set.

If you really want something, money can always be found.....after all, it's only money.

Yep placed my order, but please let us know how much of each set that we would want?

Or do you suggest for anyone to fill out the order again and again to accrue more selections?

Just place your order now.. you know you want to :p

This kind of kills two birds with one stone, people have been asking for a full green set and now they can get that and CCnG all in one GB :D

Are you saying if you'd like more than one? Yes sorry that isn't included, if you'd like more than one base or whatever it is, just PM me and I'll personally change it!

Any chance we could order separate 6.25x space bars?  WCK is almost a perfect match for beige cherry ds caps, and the spacebar included in r3 moogle was too white!

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard, but I'll have to ask Melissa at SP before I make any promises.

Will email her on Monday and let everyone know!

i'm curious as to why there are suddenly so many group buys going on con currently with very close deadlines, can't the organizer delay them so the are intervals in between where people can actually save some money and not have to pay so much in one go.. im very interested but i don't really fancy spending this much money within such a short period of time. i say delay this!! DELAY !!!

I say work more! JK. This is kind of true but there is always things you want to buy on here, that is how I look at it. I mean you're getting an entire set for much cheaper than normal, and it is one of the best that has been offered.

So true.  I've always loved the Green Set which still has a keyboard waiting for it.

I'm being a bit confused with the many XXX on YYY options. Would it be possible for you to attach some pictures? I want it like the previous GB, cream caps and white letters for the main board and green keys with cream letters for the modifiers. I want a set like this one: http://p.noelleon.me/keyboard/poker/ccng_poker.jpg Or which options would I need to choose?

And will the modifiers match the previous gb?

EDIT:

Oh I see, the IC thread has pictures and the desciptions

i want in. i really like the look of the CCnG set that was a group buy last year.  So my question is about the font used for this buy? Will it be similar to http://www.flickr.com/photos/mashby/8424260247/ ? Which option would I choose if i wanted to replicate a set like that?

I am sorry if these questions seem self evident. My keyboard obsession is quite new but quite strong, but quite uninformed when it comes to orders like these. I am looking to get a CCnG set for a KBT Pure board.

Thank you guys! This is quickly becoming my favorite online community. Also keep it Wu-Tang!

if only they were dye sub thick pbt...

then again I only have 1 board.

This^ lol. Anyway, I'm sure you'll hit good price tiers :)

I didn't think about this when I was talking to gup, but it may be possible to get these in DS PBT.  Of course, Melissa would have to get involved to know for sure, but they are working on the stuff to do it.

You'll need:
1 GoCC base kit
1 CCoG mod kit
1 CCoG tsangan kit

That gets everything you need for a Pure, if you want what's in the picture add:
1 GoCC 17key/number pad

PBT DS will be very expensive
Well that's because it's still extremely niche and not a perfected method. With a large enough order and cooperation from Melissa the price will be inflated compared to DS ABS but not insane. This would be different from the gimmick DS PBT keys you've sold.

Again, just an option to look into.  Costs nothing to ask Melissa for a quote other than time.

Also, as gupgup has said, I'll be taking care of the financial side of things, but for the most part, this is his show to run.  I'll help him with any questions he(and anyone, really) may have, but what he decides goes.

I am running into some problems with this googledoc, I'm trying to fix it but if you already put one in you may have to enter another time.

Will update once I can figure it out.

Alright sorry everyone, but if you've filled out a response please do it again, I added the Geekhack/Deskthority questions and made it easier to order 2 or more sets.

I apologize, but there were only 9 people so far so it wasn't that many yet!

FYI that this GB suffers from the same problem as Klaxon did, that by using SP's default NUM PAD list of keys, you are missing at least 1-2 NUM PAD keys that have been included in every other GB in recent history.

This one has been included in I believe every GB up until Klaxon & now CCnG2
-1x size, ROW4, "0 Ins" key

This one has been in most, but not every GB
-1x size, ROW4, "00" key

without a 1x ROW4 0 key of some sort, these sets don't work on quite a few non US-ANSI layouts (102/105 ISO and even some 101 US-ANSI layouts)

Could you please revise (maybe split) the international shipping rates?
Surely 1-2 sets can be shipped in the 10-15$ range.
100 caps are like 150 grams only.

Unfortunately, the weight has little to do with it. International Priority Small Flat Rate Box, which will hold up to 250 keycaps, jumped in price from $17 to $26. Nothing we can do about USPS shipping rates, I'm afraid. And Priority is the least expensive option that offers any kind of tracking and insurance.

Those prices are pretty close to perfect, if not maybe just a little off.

It used to be around 18 for international, but with the recent USPS price increases, 26 is pretty accurate.

How about bubble mailer? How many keys would it fit and how much does it cost? Not like tracking works with international anyways..

I don't think I'd be comfortable squeezing a bunch of keys into a padded envelope to go international, odds are that a key will get broken and just make more problems.. :/

It would have to be a decently large mailer as the traditional ones only fit about half the keys a keyboard needs.

And the fine folks at the USPS charge exactly the same rates for large bubble mailers and small boxes.

Funny, that.

With lower shipping cost and thus overall lower value i could skip insurance. Also tracking is usually useless internationally (unless it guarantees faster shipping).
I wouldn't mind a bubble mailer with an extra bubble wrap inside. Say around 10.5x8 inch for around 100 keys.
You could do 1 mailer per set and probably still be cheaper up to 2 sets, at the same time enabling 1 set international participants.
Expensive shipping could still be optional.

edit: what's the threshold for expensive bubble mailers? also aren't there any alternatives to usps?

Nothing cheaper, but honestly this isn't very new anymore.  Best bet would be to try and get someone to proxy things in the EU.
