I'm guessing this is the evolution from the Ducky Mini. It says Laser etched PBT caps but how do they show light? Seems weird and they don't look like PBT - they look like the typical ABS UV coated that Ducky puts on their boards. Not a great price but thought some might be interested in a backlit Poker II.

They aren't actually PBT. The key caps are ABS.

AFAIK, the backlit Poker II is the only thing that is fairly new to massdrop. The other audio stuff has been consistently dropping every 2-3 months or so, so I wouldn't feel TOO bad about it.

I owned a GH60 and Poker 2 (sold).

To be honest, GH60 offers more functions and flexibility than P2.
However, the macro function on P2 is easier to use, and can be done without flashing a firmware.

But the lack of arrow key on P2 is a big -ve. (though firmware can be flashed to achieve arrow keys).

Yes that is correct. They authorize the payment now but it does not complete until the drop ends.

That's correct. They don't charge you until the group buy ends. I joined the drop yesterday and put my cc on it as payment and there are no charges or pending charges on my card.

For anyone who has reservations because the backlit version of the Poker II has ABS keys instead of PBT, be sure to check out Ivan's thick PBT group buy. We're pretty close to MOQ now. Black on near black, or blanks. They should look great!

they're definitely more reliable than GH GBs that's for sure (for obvious reasons)
