Splash Guard/Cover/Rubber Dome Insert from TG3 Data 911
« on: Thu, 03 April 2014, 19:23:54 »
Excuse me please if this post is in the wrong forum; I'm still pretty new around here.

I picked up a couple TG3 Data911's off ebay for pretty cheap (for parts, making a switch test board, to Frankenstein something crazy) and they each came with a rubber splash guard.

Stole this image off Google

I didn't like it on the blacks that come with the Data911's, but when I put it on my (stock) clears, HOLY TACTILITY.  On the blacks they just felt like regular rubber domes, with the black spring helping very slightly to deter some bottoming out.  But rubber dome + clear switch +  clear spring = most poppy and tactile thing I've typed on.  A little heavy but I have strong fingers and it's absolutely hilarious.

I love my buckling springs, love my lubed 55g blacks, love my stock blues, my 62g ergo clears, and I love this super tactile wtf creation.

It's so cool how many kinds of switches we have :)
