Don't know if this was posted but mine just got here today and man I love this thing. After owning the Filco and Leopold I can say this feels like it ranks up there.

Cm storm cherry mx red video and typing test

Filco and Leopold comparison video.

Where did you get it for $59? That's a good price for reds.

I really love my Cmstorm with reds. It's a sweet keyboard.

the OP listed newegg in his youtube vid

carter also posted a discount code exclusively for the forum and requested that it not be posted on any other forums/sites

storm_keyboard30  at checkout, free shipping +30% off keyboards

IMO the QF PRO board doesn't feel nearly as solid as the QFR I just got

that is a great price though, especially considering it's full size and backlit

Carter's code is for the CM store, and it "only" takes the reds down to $65 or $67 or so (such a good price, too!) I bought one in blues, and will probably get another top plate for my reds sometime, if they're made.

I'm definitely going to want to get their board with greens. Greens are great!

I really liked this keyboard yea it went in and out of stock cause you really can't beat $59 after the rebate of $10.  I tried the code =) I got greedy I would have ordered another one.   I never tried greens I tried black and red  and blue at the store.

Yeah that is a great deal.  Might I ask, what felt less solid on your QF Pro?  I've used both extensively, and I was quite surprised that the QF Pro felt as solid as my QF Rapid (both the board and key press) since the Rapid is Costar while the Pro is iOne.  But the QF Pro has textured keycaps which feel much better.

carter said the trigger was a costar board as well, did they really only go to iOne for 1 board or is the pro actually a costar?

the board casing felt a little cheap to me and didn't have the weight I thought was appropriate for the full size and given the original price point

keep in mind I came from a Das which IMO was built like a tank

Everyone here says the Pro is iOne, and I saw Carter say that CM will never use iOne again, so it has to be iOne.  The weight was pretty much what I expected, a bit more than the Rapid.  There wasn't really any flex and it resisted scratches, so I can't complain.  I rather like that the rubber coating was only on the back, unlike the Rapid.

Does anyone know  if this is steel plate mounted? This thing feels identical to the Filco and like Leopold minus the mushy stabilizers used in the leopold board which is also steel plate mounted. I see the quickfire storm is steel plate mounted.

iOne boards tend to be plate mounted (xArmor, blackwidow, max keyboard etc..). It would feel similar due to the same style of stabilizer. I think your statement about the cm storm pro is just because mx blacks aren't most peoples favourite typing switch (no idea why they chose blacks for gaming when it was obvious reds are closer to domes but still superior well apart from for rts but I play everything fine with my mx blue). I mean heck I'd prefer my noppoo red to any rubber dome but for typing my mx blue is superior. Yet im getting a mx brown because I remember really really liking it.

Thank you Carter, The Keyboard is still going strong no key wear like I experienced with leopold "after1 week" and no flaws with intense typing and even more intense gaming.
