f/64 made some nice looking mock ups for a potential Star Wars faction key set:

The top two are mandalorian raiders in colors from Boba Fett, the second row is Jedi and Sith logos, and the 3rd is Empire and Republic logos. We would potentially have them done at QWERKeys in the same style as their Team Liquid cap that was capable of having a lot more detail to it than the Team Liquid double shot from SP. I believe it is laser infilled J series Row 1 (Esc, Function, Numbers).

At the moment I am unsure of pricing for the J series, but the K series of large spherical keys were close to the following per key:
50 keys $3.25 each
100 keys $2.50 each
200 keys $2.20 each
400 keys $2.05 each

If the J series is similar and we get into the 100 key range I imagine it would cost $15 roughly for a full set of 6 keys. J series might also be cheaper. It may also be possible to do each key individually if people don't want it as a set.

The logos may also need to be simplified to be completed by QWERKeys, or getting dyesubs from imsto. I'm obviously open to opinions to see where the interest check takes us.

Where do you come in? Write what you would be interested in buying, and give alternative suggestions. Maybe only one Mandalorian raider key and make it a set of 5? Maybe there are other factions in Star Wars we want keys for and it should be an 8 key set?

Those mockups have a lot of detail for qwer's process. I would think to achieve that level of detail dyesub may be the only option.

with QWER you're only going to get outline at best some you might not get anywhere even close to it

I have seen simplified versions of some of these icons and they still look good and are instantly recognizable. I'm not hooked on using QWERKeys, in fact I would want to utilize what ever would give everyone the best looking key set. This is the reason we do an interest check in the first place. Maybe we don't have enough Star Wars interest to do it, have to wait and see.

I am definitely interested, but those are some very fine details.
I doubt this can be done, not even with dyesubs.
I'm happy to be proven wrong, though.

I would pick one of the Mandolorian keys, don't really need two. Jedi and Rebel would definitely need some simplifying for infilled keys. The Jedi starburst thing in the center looks like it would be a problem, and remove the circle and stars from the Rebel one and it would be fine. If go dyesubs, insane detail is possible and everything is fine then, but some of the color combinations are then impossible.
Definitely interested though. You should just make an order form now and if it has enough interest to move into payment stage half that work is already done.

Interested in the Jedi one but would get all six if a set is the only option. If QWERkeys was used I'd prefer the J series just because the K series does stand out a bit, even if it is on an esc key.

I ordered the full metal alchemist keys which are imsto dyesubs so I'm quite interested in seeing them in person to see the quality. This may be the route we go if we want to maintain all the detail. Unless people really like engraved and infilled. I think a mandalorian key engraved infilled would be cool, but the others probably dyesub. However as a set I think I would potentially want them all to be identical, but a set of 4 keys (Sith, Jedi, Imperial, Republic) and a Mandalorian key, or double set separate could be good also.

If the pricing does not change too much, I will buy at least three sets.

However, I would suggest that you get a red or blue Rebel Bird on white background instead of the New Republic logo. The bird is classic and more recognized.

BTW, member the_buff made better SVG files of the Imperial cog logo, after I had supplied him with a high-res shot of a screen-used helmet that had an original cog decal. These are more accurate to the original shape than in the mockup.

I just left the bottoms white so there was some definition, otherwise it'd just be a black square.

If a whole F row is wanted, we could break down the keys in to some characters.

The C3PO doesn't really match the same style as the R2D2, but just consider them place holders as an example for what the rest of the F row could look like.

If it turns into a zillion key set I will be out. I would only use a couple, not really huge into novelty keys. If you are going to have a bunch, please don't force a set let pick and choose.

I'm interested for obvious reasons. For all those that doubted my interest: I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Can we get an optional Dyesub empire and sith logos? I'm cool if the colours are reversed. The jedi and rebel should be left as thin ABS to further characterize their weakness.

Well I guess we need to decide if we want to make slightly more simple versions of the logos for engraved infilled from QWERKeys, or dyesubs from imsto. Either way I think we may need to simplify a bit. f/64 made the images so if he can also make SVGs that is another step we need complete before we can start getting quotes.

When it comes to the group buy I'm not sure I want to run one with international shipping again so I'll run it if someone else wants to handle the international portion. Or I'll step aside and let someone else run the group buy. At the moment with two college classes 40+ hour work weeks, and planning a wedding I just don't have the time to do US and International.

I asked sleabo at QWERKeys about the mandalorian keys and he is going to make mock ups of everything. Here is the pricing structure he gave me for a set of six keys:
50+ @ £12.00 each = $19.51
100+ @ £10.20 each = $16.59
200+ @ £9.60 each = $15.61
400+ @ £9 each = $14.63

These are the rough conversions that Google gave me and may change depending on conversion rates.
