I want this GB to happen. Maybe it will be just procrastinated a bit. Let's see if boost chimes in.

Anyway this is the RGB version

I'm not a huge fan of multicolored legends but if there's interest for such a thing we could add an RGB kit.

Actually love this version ;o!

You'll never see a "WIN" key in any of my GBs (it will read "super"). Apart from that icon keys will be optional of course.

BRILLIANT, that's fine we get too many Windows icons on here anyway like some kind of morbid Microsoft fan club constantly wanting to see more of their gawd-awful graphics.

Just want to hear when SP will give you a quote for SA Profile and only that please  :thumb: .

SA = x-wing, DSA = macross, DCS = midnight. I think this is pretty fair, but so far it seems people prefer SA over DCS, so it may still happen :)

Nice choice thus far with the X-Wing (cudos) and Macross, but the Midnight screams out for SA.  I hate to burst your bubble here, DCS is the cheapest set you can buy with SP and that's because you can easily crack it between your bare thumb and index finger.  I can always hear the two sides crack when pressed together and then see the separated line between them.

I can't crack the SA profile no matter how long I try to press it or even the DSA so it concludes that these profiles are extremely durable and can be kept for years.  I don't want to spend money for key-caps that will deteriorate in a few short years.  The money we spend on these - better to go for the heavily engineered caps.

Amazing how SP pushes it's DCS rubbish yet GMK's Cherry version is still so highly desired here on Geekhack, you have to simply ask yourself - why is that?

Because DCS keycaps are just a lot cheaper than GMK, and SP does not have ridiculously high MOQ. DCS is not rubbish in my opinion. Not everyone like the spherical top of DSA and SA, or the high profile of SA. DCS is the only choice for reasonably priced and normally shaped caps. At the end of the day, it's all about personal preference.

You are preaching to the converted :)

Simply, cylindrical top are good for typing (that's why they replaced spherical) and since GMK is not an option (insanely high MOQ and overall pretty stubborn) the only alternative would be SP.

Now. As I said, if people is ok with SA, SA it is, even though admittedly we had a lot of SA lately.

There is NO such thing as too much of SA....... ever.  For the last two years, in which I was here, nothing but DCS everywhere.  I think we can lay that cheap & ugly profile to rest - for 2014  :thumb: .

I have to say I am not ok with SA. We may as well have a poll for the profile.

i'd vote for DSA, followed by DCS. it's not that i'm against SA, i think the thickness is awesome, but i didn't manage to try it out and i am not sure if i'll like the height of SA profile.

In the first post you said that the third one will be PBT? So will the first two GB be ABS?

I really like the look of this. As far as profile goes, i would presonally prefer DCS. I appreciate the 1.25 Caps Lock. Even among sets that include a properly sized control key, few of them include the matching Caps Lock.

For me now, I have no idea where this is going to go, if everyone wants it DCS then it's all good for them  :thumb: .  I am already into so many key-sets and if this becomes a DCS fan train then I can happily jump off at any time.

Glad Matt3o is listening to everyone here at Geekhack.

I really like the color scheme and would be interested in a TKL set.

Are the legends just really bright or are you going to use glow-in-the-dark materials like some novelty caps from techkeys?

Concerning the profile:

My favorite would be DCS with Cherry legends. Maybe I like SA as well, but I'll have to wait until I get my Commando 23 set to test it myself :)

Out of yours ICs I really like this idea, Matt3o. But I'm not very sure about the color choices. Do you have the color chips from SP? I could take some photos of the color chips all together if you still in need (YBP, VCO, GB, GEW?) ^^

Given the new lower MOQ, has GMK Cherry profile been considered? Presumably their color selection would be different, so this is more out of curiosity. I suppose it could also be difficult to reach 250 regardless, and customization would be worse.
