Or is there a huge lack of humor at GeekHack these days?
I'd blame the moderation but this thread would probably get closed.

Same here , It's like the day that CC sale last time, loading~ lack~

I like this guy:
Man :( this forums is starting to become OCN, I really don't like these new rules..
I wish geekhack goes back to how it was. Sure Ripster and KL's poopsling could of been offensive to some people, but I rather have that then all these new rules and mods.. That's what I found great about Geekhack, you didn't have to be scared about being banned and it was a wild west where gunslingers would troll, people could socialize, and we can talk about geeky stuff...
I am just afraid Mods will get over their heads and enforce too hard, Geekhack will be like any other tech enthusiast website([H], OCN)
Church!
(That's "gangsta talk" for QFT!)

Moderators EVEN in off topic, wtf is this.

Sorry you guys aren't happy...We, itlnstln and I,have conversed. We have decided to moderate this forum loosely. We have discussed that religion and politics are off limits. Also, things should be SFW or school, I'm sure everyone can relate to that. Other than that, unless you are specifically bashing moderators, you may constructively give us feedback! We as well as you do have a sense of humor. For example, more dry keyboard humor for you guys because wet keyboards are no good! (Sorry to whoever I stole that from, I thought it to be quite funny!)
Also, I saw this the other month while strolling through the archives: Thanks iMav for the laugh!

Still miss Webwit. Watching him and welly, or him and anyone, banter back and forth was always worth a smile and a bit of popcorn. =)
-
Now I probably can't even ask Voixdelion to post stripper pics anymore!

P.S. if you miss webwit, check out deskthority.
No clue where Welly is though.
And Smallfry, I think your plan is good. Religion and political stuff tends to get heated. Although I haven't seen much of that stuff posted since Welly/MW. Loose moderation is key. Only intervene when absolutely necessary (when real abuse is clear).

It is just you. I haven't seen anyone else at geekhack get so butthurt so easily and fly off the handle with utter lack of humor as keyboardlover.

Oh really? Care to post examples?

Oh really? Care to post examples?
I would, but I think they have all been "moderated" away into iMav's great bit shredder. ;-P enis?

You sure do seem to get butthurt easily (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?28886-Welcome-to-the-ripster-and-keyboardlover-GET-A-ROOM!-Suite).
Thanks for closing captain's troll thread brother itlnstln!

I restored the posts in the other thread too, but the pic disappeared. If you want to repost it, go ahead.
-
Thanks brother! You're not the worst moderator I've encountered so far!
(That's a compliment!)

i believe that religion and politics should be on the table, historically religion and politics was a no no at the dinner table because, well usually the dinner table is with family and if you disagreed heavily with a family member, it's not like you can just say forget them. i rather like reading about most rants on here, you can learn much. Heck i'm gonna have fun this weekend, it's gonna be a tiny bday party of 10 ppl all who happen to be athiests or agnostic and 9/10 democrats (might be an independant by now) and i just happen to be the only one for the gop, and the only reason i say in the party is so i can make lolz about them, it's like a free pass.

This is an excellent attitude to have, people take the Web way too seriously and seem to forget you can just close a tab.
I would love to be at that party by the way, sounds pretty entertaining.

did we just lose 3 DAYS worth of posts?
-
It certainly feels like it...

I STILL think lolcats should be banned if election year politics is banned.
