SP keys are ABS. I suppose dye subbed, but not sure, someone will correct me.
I have no idea. Here in Brasil things get lost, that's why I send it to a proxy.

Any way that the arrow keys on the DSA set could have UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT instead of the arrow icons? I don't really like the look of the triangle arrows and much prefer the retro feel of the spelled-out directions, does anyone else feel the same?looks like you get both options with the DSA mod set

How odd would mixing DCS alphas with DSA modifiers look?
should be able to sign up for this the first or second week of october. This really is one of my dream sets, the colors are pretty much perfect, the visibility may be a little bit less than white on black or black on white but it should be fine.
those ergodox people who dont like DSA, as i person that mixes DCS base set with DSA modifiers on my current layout it works very well, buying the DCS set and DSA ergodox modifiers should work well :)

The are different version of the Noppoo Choc Mini. Which one do you have? The 2013 version for example has 1.25x Modifiers while older versions have 1x and 1.5x modifiers.
Either way a Tsangan kit should cover all posibilities. You'd need a shorter right shift key anyway.

When he posted this I tried it too. Both links weren't working for me. Now they do, so I guess it was a Google issue.
Love the sets, I will have to order a couple, but would it kill you to add on center stemmed Control in a Caps Lock size for the Tsangan sets? Why bother with the off center stepped Control if there isn't a non-stepped on center option also available?

Hello everyone... this might be a bit far off of a post but I'll never know unless I try lol
I'm basically wondering if its possible for someone to help me out. I really want to purchase in on the group buy, but looking at how I spent about ~$330 USD upon joining geekhack in late August. I don't have the means to actually pay for an order of the Hyper Fuse group buy within the organized timeline. I'm looking to order the USB Cable + Alphas + Mods + Tsangan kit and since I'm Canadian I pay $128USD in total shipped. I won't have that by the end of the deadline. So I'm basically asking for someone to buy/hold that set for me until I can pay it by October 20-22ish, 2013.
This seems like a longshot of a request, but I have been trying to build up positive reputation among the more trusted members of GH. I have been involved in the following: group buy of Teensy 2.0 with jdcarpe, 62g Korean Spring pack + Switch stickers with mistakemistake, classified sale with Sifo (meet up in person and I paid that lovely Canadian cash), and I recently bought 5 tickets for moose's raffle giveaway.

I'm finally ready to pimp out my keyboard with some keycaps, and this set and these organizers look fantastic for the purpose.
Just a couple of questions: Signature Plastics's universal spacebar is only included with the DCS sets, correct? (6.25x does not exist for DSA?)
Since I've never done this before, any rough timeline on how long it takes to produce the order?
And finally, since I'm terrible with color complementation, would this set look reasonably good on a black board?

6.25 spacebar is included in the dsa set good sir, and i think it would look nice on any board
as for a time line, there is 10 days or so left to order, after that itll take 3 to 5 weeks to produce and then jsut shipping time after that
So much money, I am having a true wallet hack moment right now after Calm Set, GON Housing, ErgoDox Case, Phantom Case, Misc Keyboard parts, and Hyper Fuse all in the same 30 day period. I'm starting to feel geekhack is overwriting the basic concept of balancing my checking account and keeping credit card debt down.
But i really want this set bad, the colors are perfect; so this could possibly be the last new key caps i order for a long time and possibly ever, with the exception being if LCARS happen (listen to me, im already losing logic)

I am not really surprised. As an ISO user it's really frustrating to see that those 4 keys always cost half as much as an entire Alpha set. Blank keys are no option in my opinion, because it would look odd next to the proper keys. Imagine the uproar if you offered a set with full legends except on the ANSI enter key. People wouldn't stop *****ing about it until you put the legend back on...
Don't get me wrong. I am well aware that this is an ANSI forum and most people don't care for ISO boards, but after all you are from ISO-land as well Bunny ;) What about splitting the 4 essential ISO keys into the Alpha/Mod set for your next GB?
Would people really complain if the Alpha Set costs ~2$ more because it has 2 extra keys? Would people really skip this set if they had to pay ~3$ more for the Mod Set for the 2 extra modifiers?

this is still not confirmed that it wont happen, but it will depend on how many outstanding orders actually pay, if everyone who has an order pays, and we get about 10 more sets sold on each profile, i will almost certainly be able to squeeze it in
that isnt me holding anyone up, it will just hit the next price tier, and that drop in price on the mod set would cover dropping the iso enter in

I assume we never hit enough orders to get legends on the ISO keys? I am not too fussed about the enter key but the 2 1x1 keys would have been cool. I will have to see how it looks when it arrives as this set is semi dictating whether I get an ANSI or ISO board next :p

In the mockup (http://ctrlaltgroupbuy.com/uploads/kit_image/image/13/d9078d26b68c3280c717e08aa75aa5a4.png) there were two 1.25 win keys in DSA but in the photo above there's only one. From a personal viewpoint (ONLY) it's best suited for RED, BROWN and BLUE cherry MX's. Anything harder like BLACK's and Ergo CLEARS - make's it less suitable to type with.

I have been using the Retro's on my Raptor keyboard all with standard Blacks and they wobble like hell when you try to type quickly. Also have tried another Retro set on my Ergo-Clear LZ-GH keyboard with the same effect, a certain wobble when you start to pick up pace when typing fast.
The only place were they DO NOT wobble are on the Red's, Blue's and Brown's (Filco and Leopold) keyboards. Hence I choose to stay with Red's when I need to type out something fast. Plus the red's seem to go down a little shorter than the Black's and Ergo's, even though it may be by 1 to 2 millimeters, but it makes all the difference when you try to speed type (always a failure with about 36% accuracy with me).

I am very excited for this. Is there a possibility I can get the tracking details on this? I believe I requested for it to be sent to work and the post to work is very odd if they miss you, as they never seem to leave a card but retry days and days later... and also hold back post stating it wasn't delivered if it was due to be delivered on a non-working day.

Had to stuff some tissue to make the filco stabilising plastic hooks fit into the cherry holes otherwise they were very loose, other than that went really smooth.

Normally in Group Buys people are only concerned about getting their gear and nothing else. They will scream and shout (via their keyboard) and try insulting certain GB organizers because they perceive something that's not being addressed. Hence it can get uncontrollable and accusations start to destroy a GB quite easily.
Yet when you pull back, had time to think, it doesn't help anyone by attacking and accusing. All it does is make the organizer less inclined to run the GB and makes their life a perfect form of "Living Hell on Earth". All too often in forums a lot of people are willing to put their 'pretend' steel-capped boots on and kick to death anyone they feel can amuse their bored but sad lives.
Being 'nice' seems to be some kind of weakness to these type of people that seem to have a roving fan base egging them on for more attacks and put down's, just to keep them entertained. I suspect these type of people are at a minimum here on Geekhack but they do still exist despite the admins best efforts.
Nothing to be gained at being nasty, but everything to gain by congratulating people for their hard work that very few others will ever do themselves. Always remember when dealing with people like in real life - face to face, it helps make things easier and it helps facilitate an honest and decent affinity with another human being. In the real world being nasty gets you absolutely nothing BUT being nice will pay dividends if not for yourself, definitely for the recipient.

i know it sounds really simple from the buyers point of view when there is changes, but there are so many its add up to a lot and sadly that can lead to some errors, as i say, we now have systems in place for when changes need to be made, but when we were doing this buy we were still working through things

Hey Bunnylake - are there any loose keys available? I got one of the ergodox kits (they look amaaazing - thank you for all your hard work), so I obviously can't use most of the keys in a regular kit but dat green on gray - so nice looking.

To keep it from sliding around you could slit some rubber or silicone tubing and apply on the edges of case/plate.That looks awesome!

Aluminum alone. Though I've thought about getting coIt hasn't made any visible marks over the last two weeks on this wooden desktop nor on the laminate desktop at home. It does shift about but usually only when I return my hands to the board. I haven't decided if this is a problem or merely a side effect.

Hey usually a GB will say [taking orders] or something if it's still open. Unfortunately these keys have been produced and mostly shipped at this point I think.
The extras were floating around, he had 10 DCS sets and 1 DSA set. They were going to be put for sale on the website, not sure if that ever happened. Might have to do a

Are these still being packed/shipped? Just curious because I ordered a DSA and DCS set and nothing in the mail yet. I think people have been receiving theirs for a couple weeks so I was being patient, but now I'm a little worried.

Please say you will still stay with this type ordering because I would hate to see you change this whole process by allowing SP to take over this vital process (I just don't trust them at all to run anything). Nothing better than sticking with the OLD ways of ordering, because you know what to expect and it's always proven to be quite reliable in the past. I don't mind letting a middle-man to organize and sort everything for a price. It's still better than allowing SP to do that task.

Orig Cherry and GMK DS is some high quality stuff, no doubt, but DSA caps are not crap quality caps. i know everyone here is going ape**** crazy over possible affordable GMK sets (me included), but i was actually looking forward to more DSA and SA sets. I'm seriously glad BunnyLake did DSA on this, it doesn't sound like he would do DSA ever again (and possibly SP ever again) so im glad that this set of all sets was done in DSA.

if you're trying to color match the set the purple is way easier to match from the current photos. The Cyan is way more green than it looks on the screen.

I actually ordered a can of "intense teal" and one of "pure purple" - no idea what any of this really looks like in person since my monitors are all over the place right now (colorwise), but worst case scenario I'm going to have some fun with the old black widow fingerprint magnet. BTW, I *love* that purple GON skinny you have, so freakin sharp with Hyper Fuse on it!

Yeah you have to give the Raccoon some leave way as he now has to make all those extra cables as well as sort and ship everyone's orders. Poor guy, too much has been piled upon his shoulders and it would drive any normal person into an early heart attack.

I've used a DSA set on a Filco before (DSA Retro) and had no issues with stabilizers. Are you inserting the white stabilizer inserts the right way? Make sure the longer part of the hook faces upward (away from you when on the keyboard).

This is my first experience with a group by kit so I didn't know what to expect. Also first time using costar.

A few wraps of white plumbers tape and everything is nice and tight. I had originally placed this on my poker for a bit and decided to go with the filco. Now seeing the full set laid out on a 104 it just looks so much better to me. Also, I prefer blues on here over the reds.

Fantastic! I love the side profile of DSA. I think it really adds to the idea of space saving with a 60%. Bit of vertical space saving.

The Raccoon cable looks superb with this key-set. Nice one buddy, hope you enjoy your colour-way for many years to come. If and when I get mine I will be keeping it simply because it's one of THE perfect design choices in colour, that you must retain.

I've been here for more than 3 years and been in nearly everyone of their Group Buys, they have stuffed up major orders not by us picking the wrong items but simply because they were incapable of following our choice and directions. Now anyone that kept on refusing to listen usually gets their arse kicked in the real world but because SP is the ONLY key-cap manufacturer in the United States we were all forced to endure that type of service.
I know you only joined recently and never were around all those years ago but this is a company that seems to keep making the same basic mistakes that most normal corporations would iron out and eliminate. So before you start becoming their number one star supporter always know their history FIRST before making any final conclusions.
Besides after manufacturing the next MOST important job is sorting and distribution, and most of the experienced members here can do it with their eyes shut but SP is now wanting to do it? What happens when your items don't arrive, what happens when the keys aren't sent or wrong ones packed or too few sent? I suspect the majority here will soon find out exactly what SP is all about, I just wish I had a camera to take the picture of their faces, when they released something's wrong :p .
The main reason why Geekhack Group Buys works is because of many years of conducting and initiating them, now leaving it all to one sorrowful company to do everything that's been done here for a lower cost, just screams for failure on a major scale. Plus if anything is wrong with your order, who can you contact to correct it? Here it's the Group Buy organizers and they know their job but relying on Melissa to sort out any mess created by her company is asking her to do too much already.
That is why if the original Group Buy system here on Geekhack has worked for years why the urgent need to fix something that was never broken to begin with? Always stick with what works and why the need to change. Now comes the pleasure of sitting back and watching how everything will turn out with this venture because some people like to find out the hard way 8) .

Man I wish I had the money for this set. But saving my pennies for the Toxic set. This set looks amazing.
My DCS and DSA sets arrived today and look awesome. I did however get two DCS "Delete" keys and no "Pause"

Shipment updates?
using the dsa profile keys for the first time, it feels different from dcs.
there seems to be less area for the fingertips to rest/hit on the dsa.
with the dsa being mostly flat, there isn't anything to 'cup' the fingertips unlike the dcs with its raised sides.
the dsa feels more natural if you have the keyboard flat.
raising the keyboard at an angle with the feet, the keys face at a steeper angle which make typing a bit weird for me.

It's every bit as amazing as I dared dream it would be and then some - hands down my favorite set of key caps that I now own. I'm going to have to try these on multiple keyboards as there's just so many wonderful caps that don't get used on my 60% Pure. Looks like a painted stock Poker case. It's very nice!!
Thank you all! Indeed, just the stock Pure case, Plasti-dipped "Intense Teal" so I can peel it off when I get bored with it or want to try out the pure purple color. If you look closely you can see where I dinged the left corner during transport already (grrr!)... my fault for just tossing it in my bag instead of using a sleeve.Looks like a painted stock Poker case. Yeah, great paint job!Thank you! I definitely plan on trying to snap a weekly/monthly photo to document how the spacebar wears over time (or hopefully doesn't lol!)... I'll compile them into a timelapse or something when it starts wearing out. The USB cable on the Choc Mini isn't detachable, so I can't use the HyperFuse cable from TFRaccoon - caps still look great without it, but it'd be a shame to not use the matching cable eventually!
I am really interested how this stands the test of time. Would be nice if you could document the looks of the spacebar from month to month.

QFRs are mini, I have one sitting on my desk right now. I keep hearing conflicting information about whether or not the GB cables will work with the QFR. If they won't, I'm not certain I want the cable from toxic. Hopefully whatever issue there is I can work around or otherwise deal with.
I know it's not the prettiest, but this is what I have been using with my QFR. It fits, and you also have a quick disconnect. What was the issue with the cable and the QFR, exactly? Did it not fit into the routing tracks, or was there some other problem?
Is the USB cable for QFR micro? I think group buy cables are usually mini. That might be the issue he was talking about.
