Found this site last week - I took delivery of my Realforce 88UB today.  So far it's seems great - by far the best keyboard I've used.

You do not even get those with the coloured topre keys. However those are included with the 86U.

Finally put my order in for the 88SW :D Gonna be exciting for sure! But whats up with that price conversion between sweden and uk? it was 207gbp with shipping, and the gbp costs 9,42 sek today. It should cost 1950sek, but ended up at 2237sek.

The Keyboard Co probably sell more to companies with VAT No, so that's why they leave VAT off since those companies don't need to pay (common practice for companies selling to other companies in the UK, in the USA though the tax is left off everything and added afterwards and it seems you don't get taxed for goods bought over the net).

But normal people who aren't buying for a company or on behalf of a company still have to pay VAT. I'm sure if more normal/enthusiast people start buying keyboards they'll include VAT by default.

On our homepage there is a tick box so you can chose Inc VAT or Ex VAT.
We find trade buyers like it without and retail like it with. There are no hidden costs so it can only be Goods, Carriage, or VAT.

I know about the VAT box :) Thats not what im confused about. Its the conversion between uk pounds to swedish sek. Im pretty sure when i check the value of pounds yesterday it was like 9,42 swedish kronor (sek) for each pound. But when i check now, its 10,57. So clearly i must have done a mistake when checking yesterday, or maybe the sek is going down fast ;D It accounts for the missing value anyway.

You couldn't have accidentally picked one of the more expensive carriage options? That would show on the paperwork, but £207 is correct otherwise. That includes the VAT.
Currencies are bouncing around a bit but our European ones are mostly dropping together. It is possible that there is a fee from Paypal or your credit card company.

207 is correct. I was going to choose tnt, but after seeing the conversion price i went with the trusty royal mail on this one this time ;) No this has to be somewthing i mis clicked when checking pounds vs sek (swedish kronors). I usually check conversion rates on google and just type in gbp sek in search and the rate pops up, and i did it kind of fast, knowing that the sek was kind of strong against the pounds earlier this year, so i didnt pay it any mind at the time :) It was super cheap to buy from england then, but not so anymore i guess. It doesnt matter really, cause i have wanted this board for so long now, and i'll pay just about anything to get my hands on it lol ;D

I dont mind waiting a few extra days now that i have waited for it that long anyway, as long as it gets here :) Best case scenario this friday, but im counting on next week. They said on their tracking site that it "has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas. "

Ok, enough posting off topic from me in this thread ^^.

Paypal usually give the bad conversion rate unfortunately, so you actually have to include how much commission/rate that Paypal charge.

+1 (only variable weighted). I have been wanting to buy an Realforce 87U Tenkeyless variable weighted white (ANSI) for a while now. Is there any chance of you stocking them?

If you were to stock them I would purchase one right away.

Thanks,

Jim.

Another taker for RF ANSI - would also like an 87U, perhaps 55g, 45g or variable :)

Hi dj - Your best option for Scandinavia is probably http://www.keyboardco.com

Jim66, I'm not getting any new Topre models this year I doubt.
I would like to get some 87u nest year though.

Hi,

Just a quick question : are the ISO Realforce 88 45g (UK/FR/etc...) you sell the equivalent of the ANSI 86U, or 87U ? I.e., apart from the two windows key, do they have the little perks of the 87U ANSI version : the embedded numpad and the LEDs in caps lock/numpad keys ?

If not, do ISO versions with embedded numpad and LEDs at least exist ? If they do, when do you think you'll be able to have some in stock ? I'm really interested by a FR Tenkeyless Realforce, but I absolutely want one with embedded numpad and LEDs.

Second and last question : why does your fullsize ISO Realforce have gold on black keycaps instead of the standard black on black ? Not really important since I want a TKL version, but just out of curiosity.

Thanks in advance, and congrats for your great job providing Europe with those fantastic keyboards. (I live in France and you're the ONLY EU shop where I can buy Filco/RealForce keyboards).

January would be fab!!!!

Your killing us (me) Bruce
I mean I would order from EK but I don't want to be stung by custom charges ...

Apart from loosing weight in the new year my new year resolution is to try Topre!

Definitely have my heart set on a black RF 45g ANSI (87U?) all rounder. [Money set aside for it]

Any plans to get new Topre models in this year? I would love to get full size keyboard in Swe/Fin layout without variable weight keys, maybe 45g or 55g keyforce?

Hi Amasokin
Sorry to leave you hanging so long. Truth is, we usually go with 87 for USA and 88 for European and so this gets me confused too. But they take off the windows menu key and it becomes something else.
Topre are very good because they can make a great number of variations and to relatively small MOQ - so there are so many possibilities. Ours don't have the embedded number pad (That was me, I don't really like them) or the LEDS, that was never thought about. And I doubt any were ever made.
We were shown the gold on black and liked it. It fitted also with wanting to get Topre into the more general office use arena, where sub printing is not well received. Thanks, and greetings to France.

ktkr
No, i'm not thinking silent this year. Topre only whisper anyway and I still have some gaps to fill in the whisper range.

Naku
I'm not likely to have any new ISO models in the first half of 2012.
