New find today
(also picked up a crappy Logitech wireless keyboard, and a Microsoft Natural Keyboard for lulz).
I almost thought it was one of the many rubber domes in the stack I was going through (lots of Keytronics...).
Yup, AT.
FCC tells me its from NMB Technologies Corp., Hi Tek Keyboard Division (~March 1993).
Whoops, I hope IST doesn't mind that I repurposed one of their keyboards .
Damn, do those springs fly everywhere! Glad I didn't lose any.
Neon-Green slider, hehe.
Interesting stabilizers.
Shucks, no double-shots this time 'round. Interesting attachment mechanism though.
Aww, screwed up this pic.
Oh well, this is what matters anyways.
Interesting, looks like it's possible to enable an XT mode on the board (not that I'd ever have the desire to do that...).
Guess I'm used to seeing INTEL chips all the time.
Solder direction...um, k.
Interesting, whatever it means...
Neat, keys are labelled, though not completely accurate...if memory serves correctly.
Nice, quality cord.
Spring comparison (spacebar vs. everything else)
Some mechanism pics (here the switch is in "pressed" state).
"Unpressed" state.
Closeup of the slider (only difference is the colour)
Haven't really had a lot of time to test it out. But I'd say it's a tactile, but not clicky board. More tactile than MX Browns (noticeably). Though the force required is about the same.
Once the keycaps are cleaned I'll be using it for a while.
Edit: Forgot to add my usual
Picasa link.
