Yeah the spacebar doesn't look as nice, but it's insanely comfortable.  I should also note that that spacebar is the default leopold one in case that shininess was bothering anyone.

I have to agree with you on this. It does look weird, but the edge of the spacebar doesn't rub against your thumb.
