---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear All, I am trying to organize a group buy for PLU ML-87 Mechanical keyboard. I have been contacting with PLU for a while, and for a quantity of 50, the price for each keyboard should be between 75-85 each plus 8 dollars shipping to CONUS. People from other places should contact me for a shipping quote.

with the quantity of each type of keyboard.

Here are the main features:
- Dedicated Media key which provides 12 combination options along with F-keys to let you control your tunes while working, gaming or any other situation.
- Custom Optimized Key Rollover for mainstream games like Starcraft 2, DOTA and so on.
- User Disable function of Win Key, never go back to desktop while Gaming by accidental hitting the win key.
- 6-key rollover under USB connection, 8-key rollover under PS/2 (via adapter)
- Key cap material: ABS(for white color), POM (for black color)
Layout: US standard
Interface: Native USB, PS/2 via adapter ( included)
Weight: 0.9kg
Supported OS: Windows 98(SE)/Me/2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7

The Deadline for ordering the first batch will be Sunday, April 17, 2011. I will take payments via Paypal and ship to confirmed paypal addresses. Please also let me know which keyboard color and which switch type you want. I am also posting this group buy on other place, therefore to be conservative to fill out 50 orders should not take too long. I personally is taking 10 for my friends and I, thus a group buy can lower the shipping cost significantly.

Thank you all

Weipim

Ouch, kinda hurt to see this at 3h40 am...

I don't know how to justify myself as not a scammer beside saying that I'm not a scammer... I just received the boards from the another post and will ship it tomorrow. And I hope some ghers will talk for me on this.

About unprofessional, I admit that I am not a seller that is dedicated to make profit here, however I think it's a cool thing to start a group buy that can give convenience to people here. And I think there's nothing wrong with this.

I don't provide my blind trust in someone with barely 10 posts. I also don't trust Ripster, eIBM or MW- but that's besides the point.

well i don't know who you can or will give your BLIND trust to... I think there's no such things to give.

Anyway, scamming on a PLU keyboard with this price range is pretty retarded to be honest, and I think the transaction will be protected by paypal for both of us, therefore I really don't know how can this be a scam...

if you think my group buy post does not appeal to you, you can turn your head to somewhere else, but please don't call anyone a scammer... do us all a favor.

Well, the regular price of a PLU is $50-60 from taobao not including shipping. So if you MO directly from PLU like you said you did, why is the price higher?

FWIW, I don't know about the pricing but I've contacted him before.  I was gonna buy a PLU ML-87 from him but learned that it doesn't work with OS X so I passed.  Via PM he seems genuine and real enough and I would've bought from him but he only has the white ones with blue switches at the time.

I would definitely give him the benefit of the doubt but like I said, don't know about the pricing though.  At least he told me upfront about the breakdown in price and stuff (via PM).

paypal protection is pretty good about ripping off scammers, if this is 8kro i may consider getting one. consider me interested in a black with brown switches? but yeah, taobao is offering it cheaper, so idk what the deal is

Edit: looks like some ones selling on ebay too, guy has the same name :P

transportation is included in the price, it aint cheap to ship something from China to US plus there are insurances and taxes. if you buy it from Taobao, the shipping will be around 30 usd.

Thanks to you all for helping me on this group buy and I really appreciate this.
I will do my best to answer your questions.

@Tempy:
Yes these are from me as well, you can see that I am far from being a scammer or a seller. I'm just someone who likes keyboards and computers like you guys. e

@noddles256:
If you really want to compare taobao to this price directly, then people group buying a set of keycap get charged 20-30 dollars of shippings to US, there are other examples right here on the forum shows similarity.

@godofdeath:
Unfortunately I'm originally from French Canada and I am working on my English.

@Reaper~:
Yeah dude, I'm sorry that this does not work with OS X but thank you so much for your words.

@KDZ:
Thanks

 The pricing is really something I could not control, because since it's the first time I'm doing business with PLU and if anyone wants to know the reason why the final price did not come down to around 60 dollars like in the other post, you can PM me and I will explain to you in detail.

Okay, but if you were in direct contact with PLU. It still doesn't explain why the price is still higher regardless of where you buy it. If anything, it should be less than $60  including if it is a "mass order"

The KBC Poker is in the same price range, and those are selling for around $90 in the group buy.  I don't think a markup of $15-25 in unreasonable at all.  If you don't agree, you can get your own through Obook.

EDIT: Noodles, you bought a poker and you didn't get it for $60... ?

Yes Noodle, you are correct this time.

However if you really want a white board with a black set of POM on it, I can ask PLU if they can give away a set of black pom, however really no guarranty for that.
