It seems to me like metal is underrepresented here, so I'll bite.
I've bought a ****tonne of music recently. Most notably: the new Mark Lanegan Band album, Blues Funeral. Absolutely loving that.

Also:
  • Electric Wizard - Come My Fanatics...
  • Baroness - Blue Record
  • Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
  • Mastodon - Leviathan
  • Devin Townsend Project - Ghost
  • Earth - The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull


Pretty sure there were others, but I can't remember. People who recognise these bands will notice that I'm catching up on a lot of slightly older albums I've missed.
Waiting for the new Earth record to come out so I can do a huge order from Southern Lord Records. That one is going to hurt my wallet.

That Kid Cudi song was good, until Kanye came on and gave another worthless 'contribution' that detracts from the overall song. I wish everyone would stop letting Kanye anywhere near a f*cking microphone.

I agree, I was surprised he was in the song the first time I heard it due to Cudi who tend to make more deep and personnal music compared to the more flashy and commercial style of Kanye.

I love Kavinsky, been a big fan of his for awhile, but so slow at releasing stuff. I mean really, 2 eps and 2 singles in 6 years... I really wish he would get an actual album released.
I still prefer the Sawagii's Revenge remix of Nightcall, but Dustin Ngyuen's mix is really good too.
