Packard Bell T9201 with Blue ALPS - What's this worth?
« on: Thu, 02 June 2011, 21:03:44 »
I came across a clicky keyboard at work recently. Curious about the type of switches it had, I later returned with a key puller, and discovered that it has blue ALPS switches. I really like the feel of them. They're tactile and clicky, but not nearly as annoying as Cherry blues. I took a couple pictures of the keyboard as I cleaned it. Does anyone have an idea what it's worth?

All squeaky-clean! (Sorry about the cell phone photo quality.)

After removing the keycaps, and dusting it out with a data vac.

Before cleaning. It looks like those are double-shot caps, if I'm not mistaken.

Nice board Poco!  Very rare to find Blue ALPS + Large Backspace + ANSI Enter key + Double Shots.  Very nice.

Anything with Blue Alps is worth quite a lot of money usually, especially if it's readily PC compatible.

That is a thing of beauty, good find.  I am experiencing a modest amount of keyboard envy.

Personally, I'd say that the one sitting on ebay for $200 means that it isn't selling and is therefore not worth quite that much. But that seller seems to be known for listing things in such a way.
