Here we have the prize caps lock collection started by my grandpappy in 1985... they have been painstakingly assembled into this fabulous collection you see here today.

Oh, that's just a wonderful collection. At auction I would expect it to go for 97x what you paid for it.

Not all of my caps lock are in that photo, also missing Dolch, Skidata, Goupil, beige windowed stepped, handbag, 1.5 black on white lock, white on black fulltouch, black on biege fulltouch... probably some other.

It doesn't quite work that way. The tool for a 1x1 size keycap will most likely have 4 or more identical cavities that are all injected at once. So, each cavity will have it's own legend; some of which are showing their age. The good news is that the manufacturer has certain tolerances that when exceeded will result in the tool being remade. Not to mention; we always take customer feedback to manufacturers.

Basically, depending on the demand for keycaps from these tools, they may improve in subsequent runs. So anyone asking for a premium re-sale price of a certain DS keycap based only on a .01mm difference in legend printing will have a hard time making promises of unequivocal perfection or provenance...but who can stop someone from trying?:-P

skidata caps is not double shot. i have text and arrow style, they are print shot. OTL..

Generally windowed abs key is pad print. 4 key in my photo are pad print. I have only seen one exception from Cherry and I own it, the dot window coffee/cream is a 3shot. The 2 with CAPS LOCK is dyesub pbt windowed.

Those are from R2 of 7bit GB, IIRC. Oh and I forgot I haven't posted this one yet.

There's a group buy run by 7bit (I think he's still running it over at DT) and that particular set is called standard set. The one you see there is from round 2 of his group buy. The complete set contains 104 keys, IIRC.
