[taking orders!] Double shot replacements ROUND FOUR!
« Reply #4300 on: Mon, 23 April 2012, 10:07:38 »
I must have missed something.  The $12.00 shipping has now changed to $34.00 for shipping plus other costs.  Can someone explain this change?  I just can't keep up with the dynamic nature of the pricing.

Right. I can't cover these costs. They must be covered somehow. If there are more orders I can lower this. Sorry for that.

Pricing is as dynamic as the orders. Fewer orders, higher prices. Nothing is final until we ordered and I got the invoice from Signature plastics.

You need to submit your e-mail address!!!

Something like:
rhune@enter domain name here

I did include that in the original message but I just tried again. My order is as follows:

TOOL
RETRO/TKLRGBYSYM
RETRO/SPACE
RETRO/WASD/ORANGE
EMAIL myemail@email.com

(I used my actual e-mail in the form)

Is that correct? Am I missing anything else?

Haven't you been taking orders for 9 months now? Do you think that people are going to suddenly join this GB tp drive high prices down?

No, we had an decision making process, which had been derailed by higher prices from the manufacturer.

There are so many people saying "Im new to GH and want some key caps!" that there must be a moment when orders go up. Nevertheless, if in 7 days the amount of key caps ordered is stable  and not sinking down anymore, I will order and because of the high prices there will not be much left for late-comers!

$253 for a Retro kit !!!, this is never going to happen.  Is the actually going to be the price because it is way too high.  I appreciate everything done on this GB4 but that is simply too much for keycaps.  Sorry 7bit I dont want to sound off negative and I know how frustrating this must all be but unless the price drops a s**tload I can not order.

Can we get some informations about the costs you have to pay ?

Is there no way to reduce them?

I try my best to not cancel my order because it will only make the problem worse, but I'm not sure I will keep it up seeing how much it costs at the end.

Getting rid of the 6.25 units space bar for the SA-family (sphericals) will bring down the costs by $3500. I can live with 7, 4 and 1.5 units.

Everything in one color-scheme: $2000 less (lower prices for higher volume of the same legends/colors not accounted!)
Local pickup from my site: $2000 less
Local pickup from SP: $2000 less
I've got no idea what we can save if we get rid of the language specific stuff, because many would maybe jump off.
No 7 units spherical space bar: $3500 less.
No SVG graphics: $750 less
...

The low qty fees for a kit go away when you ordere 3x that kit.

Example:
Code: [Select]

RETRO/GAMER/BLUE|Gamer kit (Gamer function keys)             |16.00|  1| 22| 16.00
                |low quantity fee (only 2 orders)            |61.20|   |   |

RETRO/GAMER/BLUE 3
3*16==48<77.20
Code: [Select]

RETRO/RGB       |RGB kit (for 86-126 key keyboards)          |23.00|  1| 19| 23.00
RETRO/SPACE     |6.25 units Filco/Cherry/Leopold             | 2.00|  1|  1|  2.00
RETRO/STANDARD  |Standard kit (101-104 keys)                 |96.00|  1|137| 96.00
RETRO/UK        |UK language kit                             |11.00|  1|  7| 11.00
                |low quantity fee (only 3 orders)            |10.35|   |   |

RETRO/UK 3
3*11==33>21.35, but 48+33==81<98.55

Ordering more has got the advantage that you can sell these later, or even during the time when everything is ordered and people come and want to buy a kit.

This is what happens when you offer 11ty different kits to please everybody out there. Tons of them get 3-10 orders and are ofc going to be damn expensive at that rate. Sucks for those who just want a standard cap set, as they end up paying through the nose so that people can have their bepo layout and other obscure layouts.

Yes, and that is why I added the low-quantity fee for kits which are only orderd in low quantitys.

No, I was just trolling!

These $7000 are a one-time efford we have to carry for the future!

When your grandchildren order sphericals and get a 7 or 6.25 units space bar you can tell them that you where one of those who helped to make the tools for it!

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but aren't the main TKL sets still charging low quantity fees?

I just confused about the color, man. I do know that there is WASD kit in this GB. Just want to know which set will have the same color as the given pics.

They are white on orange, lightblue on dark grey, orange on lightgrey, lightblue on lightgrey.

Here is the gamer stuff:
ROUND3/GAMER/ORANGE..........11
ROUND3/GAMERMINI/ORANGE.......1
RETRO/GAMER/BLUE..............2
RETRO/GAMER..................11

This is one of those things that has been bugging me all along. If it's not too much trouble, or too annoying, can someone who truly knows this answer please explain the difference between gamer and gamermini?  In one wiki it seems that gamermini has more keys and another wiki seems that gamer has more keys and yet in another place it seems like they both have totally different keys but about the same number.

7bit, if you want to remove the 12 paired modifiers (2×SHIFT 2×CTRL 2×ALT 2×META 2×FN 2×SYMBOL) from SPH/KPS, I'll order at least 3 more full SPH/MODIFIER100 sets instead to help bring those down for other buyers.

Ok, I have a problem. I've already received 3 different invoices...

The first one;

Order-ID  |Description                         |Price|Qty|Pcs| Total
NOIR/ES   |Spanish language kit            |49.00|  1| 24| 49.00
NOIR/SPACE|6.25 units Filco/Cherry/Leopold| 2.00|  1|  1|  2.00
NOIR/TKL  |TKL kit (87 keys)              |69.00|  1| 93| 69.00
TOOL      |Filco key puller               | 6.00|  1|  1|  6.00
Sum       |before fees                    |     |   |119|126.00
PAYPALINT |PayPal fees International      | 3.9%|   |   |  4.91
Total     |                               |     |   |119|130.91

Please pay 50% of --> $130.91 <-- within 7 days via PayPal (no gift!):

So I payed 67$ and then, 3 days later, I received 2 more invoices:

The second one says:

Order-ID  |Description                                 | Price|Qty|Pcs|  Total
NOIR/ES   |Spanish language kit                        | 55.00|  1| 24|  55.00
         |low quantity fee (only 1 orders)            |112.00|   |   |
NOIR/SPACE|6.25 units Filco/Cherry/Leopold             |  2.00|  1|  1|   2.00
NOIR/TKL  |TKL kit (87 keys)                           | 69.00|  1| 93|  69.00

         |low quantity fee (only 40 orders)           |  1.80|   |   |
         |                                            |      |   |   |
Sum       |before fees                                 |      |   |119| 132.00
         |Low qty fee (Sum < $250)                    |      |   |   |  50.00
LOWQTYFEES|Low qty fees (order more to get these down!)|      |   |   | 163.80
PAYPALINT |PayPal fees International                   |  3.9%|   |   |  11.54
Total     |                                            |      |   |119| 307.34
Payments  |                                            |      |   |   |-134.00
Amount Due|                                            |      |   |   | 173.34

Please pay 50% of --> $173.34 <-- within 7 days via PayPal (no gift!):

Which I dont understand at all!! 307,34$ in keycaps?? And what payments are 134.00$? And even if its "only" 173.34$ (which unfortunatelly I'm not gonna pay for some keycaps...) where are the 67$ I've already payed?.

Later the same day I received the last invoice:

Order-ID  |Description                                 |Price|Qty|Pcs|  Total
NOIR/ES   |Spanish language kit                        |20.00|  1| 24|  20.00
         |low quantity fee (only 1 orders)            |62.00|   |   |
NOIR/SPACE|6.25 units Filco/Cherry/Leopold             | 2.00|  1|  1|   2.00
NOIR/TKL  |TKL kit (87 keys)                           |62.00|  1| 93|  62.00
TOOL      |Filco key puller                            | 6.00|  1|  1|   6.00
         |low quantity fee (only 40 orders)           | 1.80|   |   |
         |                                            |     |   |   |
Sum       |before fees                                 |     |   |119|  90.00
         |Shipping costs                              |     |   |   |  12.00
LOWQTYFEES|Low qty fees (order more to get these down!)|     |   |   |  75.80
PAYPALINT |PayPal fees International                   | 3.9%|   |   |   6.47
Total     |                                            |     |   |119| 172.27
Payments  |                                            |     |   |   |-134.00
Amount Due|                                            |     |   |   |  38.27

Please pay 50% of --> $38.27 <-- within 7 days via PayPal (no gift!):

So finally the price is 172,27$ if I've understood correctly but the invoice says I've already payed 134$ (no way I've only payed 67$).

So the conclusion is please someone explain me the invoices and how much I have to pay, all these prices and if I've already payed 67$ where is that quantity represented, because I'm getting more and more confused about all of this

7bit's script had a bug and that's where the 2nd one came from.  Just ignore it.  Your $67 payment got applied twice, it looks like.  Your first payment is fine for now.  Just hang tight for a bit until things get sorted.

I see your point, but not a problem Most of the keys are part of STANDARD and TERMINAL and then there are the 3 KPS kits, so I've set it on the list of privileged kits which do not have to suffer from the low qty disease.

Ok but I dont understand the invoice. What are this 134.00$ payments? the double that I've already payed? (67$ x 2 ?). So the keys will be 172.27$ at the moment?

Can you clear up about the items with fees, when we will know if they are going to be removed/lowered or not, some of them I will just not order since they will end up costing so much, and I don't want to have them 'ordered' when you place the order with the manufacturer and me not want them due to the cost of them.

Are these not available that are shown in wiki?
TUXESC/DARK/TUX
LOTUSESC/RETRO
RETRO/AWESOMEFUN
DARK/AWESOME

I don't see any awesome keys on the price list.

I will try to get my order finished and pay 50% within the week. I changed the modifier kit for a full kit because of price changes and fee, and will change a few more things before I pay.

Ive paid 50% of my order but it seems the final price has gone up again, so I am unsure whether the price is correct. If it is how would i go about refunding my deposit?, Ive paid the first deposit which was 41.04 but now there is an extra 23.90?

[strike]If you do so, can you please somewhere clarify that the NOIR-sets come only with symbols (if it's still the case).[/strike] Nevermind, it's in the wiki for NOIR
I'm also not sure, if any of the RETRO-sets (for example RETRO/STANDARD) now only comes with RGBY-modifiers?

Thank you in advance :)

RETRO/STANDARD does not come in RGBY.
RETRO/STDRGBY comes in RGBY

I thought retro gamer blue was just the retro gamer kit in blue keys?  Can I order the retro gamer mini in blue keys?

Hmm, what's this new fee?

Code: [Select]

|Shipping/Whatever/I need to cover all costs! |     |   |   | 34.00

$12 shipping was fine by me, $34 whatever is not. Care to explain?
Keyboard: Kinesis Ergo Advantage (two LF editions with red Cherry switches, one regular with brown switches)
