The "Glider" is the hacker emblem, but since most people get "hacker" confused nowadays it's normally not polite to mention it. This way, confusion is avoided (normally it goes like this: me:"I'm a hacker" person:"you break into banks and steal my money??")
I'd recommend looking it up on the jargon file maintainer's website. Even if you don't agree to display the logo, it's good to know what it stands for. I found it very interesting at first, now it's on my resume.

But if you agree with it, then it's a good emblem to associate with.
