7bit, are kits with too few orders going to be dropped ? Except for language kits since you already confirmed they would be kept.
I also wonder if language kits will even be proposed next time when those figures demonstrate the current lack of interest for them o_o;

If there where only one color-scheme, there would be enough orders.

I'm not so sure I will run another group buy anytime soon, so this is the chance to get your Colemak, Dvorak, Bepo, whatnot, key caps!

How many of you would jump off if this would be the only available color-scheme?

I mean, that all kits (STANDARD/TKL/TENKLESS etc.) would all come in RGBY only.

I would be okay with that.
This would hit every RETRO-set, right? Would all STANDARD sets get STDSYM? Or does it only effect the colors?

Only colors. The effect of this would be 1.75 and 2.25 units row 3 keys in only one color-scheme. The disadvantage is in the bottom row with 1.25 or 1.5 units keys in 2 or even 4 different colors.

Maybe I calculate the difference and then decide.

For sure, it is useless if some jump off because they don't like red Return and red Caps Lock (or whatever). Same for green right Shift.

Eh... I'm on the opposite boat. I would be out if it there is any variation from the standard retro tkl kit. But its not a big deal, because it seems like a majority of people are interested in the RGBY set. I wouldn't be too upset because of current prices anyway. It would sway me to probably change my order to the spherical set tho.

Would this be for ROUND3 kits?

No, this is for RETRO style. The grey is lighter than very dakr grey.

I might jump back on if the change makes Retro a good price. But I hate the symbols.

RBGY or RGBYSYM (as pictured)?

I was on for RETRO/TKLRGBYSYM, but now it looks like only one person wants that. I'm surprised! Might be back in if that was the only option, since price should drop then.

Yep, don't like the symbols too much. I hope the text-variation stays. :)

That's a set that 7bit was willing to define for me, because all the keys in it are already being made for other sets. It's basically the alphanumeric block plus 1u modifiers. I intend it for a split-keyboard project, but I suppose it could be used for other purposes in conjuction with buying a few other keys individually.

If this also will happen to the ISO-Kits I will buy RETRO instead of NOIR :)

I would be in for a retro set if this brought the price of it down a little. But I would prefer just standard text variation.

I don't mind the symbols. If it were cheaper, I'd probably increase my order to include on in Dvorak (Can never have enough Dvorak)

I'm down for whatever as long as retro stays. And I'm all for bringing the price down. If it was up to me I would ditch the symbols though.

I put in an order for these

BLANKPBT/R1U125/BLACK
BLANKPBT/R3U125/BLACK

But I'm curious as to if they actually exist. These would be number row and ASDF row profile 1.25x keys. These are key sizes that are used by Kinesis keyboards and I was under the impression that when people had asked SP about them that they didn't have these. Is the blank list just enumerating every possible combination of row and size? Also, did blank keys have some sort of minimum order to go through for individual keys?

Hey, I tried to delete my entire order and re-order so that the only purchase I have is the retro set and the spacebar, but I still have the gamer set attached. Also what is the count on the retro set, and the chances of it dropping back down to the original price that many of us were lured to of 80> O_O?

Ah, okay, then I'm not interested... :P

I'm assuming you're referring to this?

It looks fairly interesting but there's no dates on when it's going to actually get done, and no prices yet. The $400 estimates are kind of hard to swallow... :S
Although saying that I'm spending more than that right now on Phantom and R4.

Also, can anyone confirm what NUMERICR3 is? There isn't a specific diagram for it and I'm kinda confused on the difference between that and NUMERIC.

Personally I'm doing something contoured, closer to a Kinesis profile, except for the thumb sections, which are still up in the air and most likely not as pictured.

NUMERICR3 has the same legends as NUMERIC, but all the keys are row 3, i.e. home row, which I think gives more flexibility in layout. There are fewer keys because NUMERIC has two copies of some legends, in different rows.

So you're not going to get the ergoDOX? You're going to make your own? In a box? :P How are you going to get a PCB? Could you explain further, I'm curious.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but was just confirming. Wouldn't the profiles of the keys be incorrect when compared to other keys on the same row though?

I will document the design after I have done more; I want to have the keycaps in hand before I do the keywells, so that I can guarantee I don't end up with any profile problems. One possibility is modified Kinesis keywells; the other is column-based 'plates' of either acrylic or aluminum. Either way, the keywells will be just wired point-to-point. I'll experiment with the thumb keys after the wells are done. I have relatively small hands so the central thumb columns of the Kinesis are awkward for me.

It depends how you intend to use them; if they're part of a separate key cluster they don't need to match anything else.

I believe it's like this, not keys. (That picture is the ABS version, I assume.)

I rather like the symbolRGBY modifiers.  I think all of my orders got killed with the massive reduction of sets.  So, is that list a couple of pages back all that is left of GBround4?  Or are there still things available, like BLOOD/PIRATES (I guess that was killed because it's blood), NOIR/PIRATES, and RED/WHITE KEYBOARDRUNNER, and what of Mac modifiers OPTION and COMMAND?

Will ROUND3 kits have a grey or black \| key? Seems like in the actual round 3 group buy they had black ones even though you'd expect it to be grey.

The set I just got from another member has two versions of that key; one in the alphanumeric color and one in the modifier color.

I'm pretty sure the only way to get the pirate-flag is via RETRO or NOIR (/PIRATEFUN or /PIRATE125 is available at both sets)

Oh, dammit!  I forgot that PIRATE only comes in FUN and 125 (both row 1 profile, right?)  I want to deck out an entire keyboard in PIRATE.  I guess I'll have to do my own GB at some point.
