Corsair Vengeance K60 for Mac
« on: Mon, 17 October 2011, 21:43:54 »
This is sort of a random question, but since I'm going to school fro graphic design next year, I'm going to be forced into using a mac. I know it sucks, but it's the industry standard and all my classes are going to be geared for OSX.

Anyways, a camo filco or model m would look ridiculous next to the admittedly sexy iMac Pro and Cinema Monitor. I was looking at the K60's brushed aluminum finish and couldn't help but notice the similarity to the apple wireless keyboard.

If I put a full set of white, engraved, PBT keycaps on the k60, I think it would look sexy as hell and still match the design features of the mac products. What do you guys think?

All I read and saw about the corsair keyboards coming up was ridiculous. Weird keycaps for WASD and "hybrid technology", which means not even all of the keys are mechanical.

What about a a Leopold in white?

Hmm... I'd really like to go with red switches. what about a g80-3494 with this vinyl wrap on the case and white keycaps. That would look pretty good.

leopold has red switches, too. But no stock anyways.

there is a groupbuy for the coolermaster. the version with the red switches is black, but the ones with browns is gun metal if I remember correctly.

I am more into tenkeyless. My space is limited. On the desk more than anywhere. I am a student, too. If you try to use a book, the lecture script, your ecercise sheet, your actual notes and a computer at the same time, you will feel my pain.

If you like full size boards, the cherry g80 is a nice option. I bought a used g80-1800 before actually spending so much money on a tenkeyless.
That vinyl wrap is junk and I would not waste a thought about making my keyboard look like one of apple. My opinion. Feel free to buy it and have fun with the sticky wrap =)

Wouldn't this match more?

It's a brown, isn't it? Wouldn't be too egregious in use.

Since when are the leopold reds sold out? The full size says they still have stock and the tenkeyless is a pre-order. I was planning on ordering one of the tenkeyless at the end of the month anyway... and that pink filco is what gave me the idea.
