Estimated Timeline for New Products - Last Updated 2/27/2013

Here is a estimated timeline of new products:

Q2 2013: The keyboard is almost ready, but we had to tweak parts of the case design (hopefully) one last time. Mass production has been delayed until Q2 of 2013 with current expected availability in late May.

• 87/88-Key WASD V2
• 104/105-Key WASD V2
• 87-Key with back lighting (no customization)
• 104-Key Version with back lighting (no customization)
• All new keyboards will feature: new case design with a lower overall key profile, detachable micro USB cable with cable routing, rubberized flip out feet, red indicator LED's (white for backlit version), DIP switch to toggle functions such as disabling Windows Key, multimedia function layer (can be turned off).

November 2012:
- Sampler Kits! (Includes all 11 keycap colors in R4 1x1 size. 4x Cherry MX Switches (Blue, Brown, Red, and Black). 5/ea of all 3 O-ring types (40A-L, 40A-R, 50A-R)

September 2012:
- New keycap colors: Pink, Lavender, and Light Blue (The dark blue color will be discontinued as it runs out.)

Apr 2012:
- WASD V1 105-Key ISO Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches

Mar 2012:
- New keycap sets (Mac modifiers, Linux "tux", ESDF, HJKL, etc)
- Photoshop and Illustrator layouts
- A few new 105-ISO layouts for various languages

February 2012:
- 105-Key ISO Layout (Full Customs) - Available in Cherry MX: Blue, Black, and Red (Due to a delay with the web development, this got pushed back much longer then I would have liked. Sorry for the wait everyone.)
- 105-Key ISO Keycap Sets
- 88-Key ISO keycap Sets
- Various languages added to ISO sets

January 2012:
- WASD V1 104-key and 105-key "Barebones" Keyboards (no keycaps included)
- 104 and 87 keycap sets now have new "semi-custom" options
- WASD V1 105-Key ISO Semi-Custom Keyboards
- Blank ISO Enter Keycap
- R1 1x1.75 Keycap
- Cherry MX Keyswitches (Blue, Brown, Red, Black)
- Plate mounted stabilizer clips

December 2011:
- Cherry MX Red Switches now available as Semi-Custom V1 and Full Custom V1
- Detachable Wrist Rests
- Wire Key Pullers
- All keyboards, and 87/104-key sets now come with the new wire keycap puller instead of the plastic keycap puller.

November 2011:
-Gift Certificates now available for purchase.
-Geekhack Custom Keycap Set $3 donated to GH with each purchase
-EPDM Rubber O-ring Switch Dampeners in 40A and 50A

October 2011:
-6pc RGB Modifier Keycap Set
-Individual Text-Based Custom Keys

Frequently requested, but not planned
- PBT (currently unable to find a manufacturer with a reasonable price)
- Backlit compatible custom keycaps (we are unable to finish keycaps with protective coat for a more durable finish)
- USB/Audio Hub (adding these parts will increase the overall price and the physical size of the case to fit the additional parts)

When I first got into this I told myself I wanted three things, a Bucking Spring keyboard, a Cherry MX Blue keyboard and a tenkeyless. I have the first two and now I know when and where the last one is coming from.

If Unicomp ever does come out with a tenkeyless (not holding my breath) then I'll get one of those as well.

Glad to see there's an estimate on the keycap colors. I now know to save my Christmas money. The only thing I can foresee you being asked about that isn't on here is PBT keys. You may want to add a "Not Yet Planned" section, or something along those lines, to cut down on repeated forum questions.

He has already looked into getting them though his current suppliers and they couldnt supply him. I dont know if hes looking further into it. I sure hope so as I wouldnt mind some PBT keys on the white tenkeyless with reds that I see in the future buying.

To answer part of your questions, Reds should be in before mid December, below is the email I recieved enjoi!

Hi Daniel,

Reds will probably be available by mid December. The reds will probably cost about $10-$15 more. I have not finalized the price yet at this time. Once I have a better idea of the time frame, I'll being releasing them as pre-orders. Unless some major unexpected delay occurs during transit, there should be no problem have it shipped and delivered before Christmas.

I picked up a blue board and plan to get stuff for it as it is released. I just picked up the new red o-rings and plan to get the wire keypuller and the wrist rest next month. Once the white cases and new keycap colors come out I plan to pick up a white board with red with all the new colors to try to improve upon my layout.

I'm thinking of getting the missus to get me a WASD with Blue's and then I get myself a CM Storm QF Rapid when it's released in the states, I'll be coming home with two spangely new keyboards for Christmas, anyone else in the world will think I'm sad for getting keyboards for Christmas, but here I'm accepted. :')

There are already hold in the case of the wasd to attach the wrist wrest that he is going to be getting.

I havnt hear mention of a dat but i believe it will be mid month. He did say that you  will be able to preorder though.

When you sell the 87 do you know if you intend to sell both black and white?

To my knowledge his only plans currently for a TKL as that it is to exist. Im sure that he will start a separate thread about it once he has more or want more information.

Cool! Please do a little stress testing if possible, I've had plastic key pullers break, and was wondering if wire pullers are more durable.
