Not if I can't secure the rights from Blizzard Entertainment; Signature Plastics is putting a hold on all copyrighted/potentially copyrighted material and refusing to do anything without permission from the organizations who own the images.

Yea; I really don't want to lose the SC2 side of our Group Buy Scene but it isn't looking too good. I sent out the email on Tuesday and haven't heard anything back yet. If that route doesn't work I will find a way to prove that they don't 'own' the images for the ladder badging.

Hope Blizz get's back fast, I'm really really impatient. I'm about to rip out my hair (and i love my hair).

I don't think Blizz has copyright over some very basic geometric shapes. I really can't see them having copyright over a hexagon with star in it.

If Plan B fails is the next step finding someone else to make them?

Also, I've tallied about 40 set's that people are interested in. So I don't think there's much of an issue there.

There is always the method of proving that the designs are not in violation of copyright laws. More specifically that the designs are not under protection of the US copyright laws based on their use of Geometric Shapes and Common Designs (I believe its Chapter 13, Original Designs).

That may be fair enough, but it's the kind of thing you would want to contact a solicitor about. Seeing as it wouldn't be worth that hassle to them, i would think that SP would probably just cut their losses with this one as an unacceptable risk of litigation?

I already spent Friday presenting the evidence based on the Copyright Laws and used outside images as examples for the argument. Its up to them as whether or not they wish to continue.
