Those who has the question regarding to the Mac compatibility, I have got the response from the webmaster at KBTalking forum (guy who designed the layout and tested the production sample).

As of Dec 01, he stated that he hasn't gotten the chance to try the keyboard on MacOS, so he does not know if it will work with Mac no problem.

The documentation says N-Key rollover in USB interface. Does this mean that the RACE will have issues with Mac (not working) or Linux (ie some LED's not working) like the Choc mini does ?

That looks pretty optimum for me for what I'd want from a small layout, and I like the back light style too.  That with reds would be the bell of the ball for LANs and such where I would prefer a non full keyboard, but sadly I won't be getting another keyboard until I have an influx of money.

Out of curiosity is the KBT Pure on you radar for a potential future group buy?

I'm also curious about this, would love to get a KBTalking pure.

It is still too early to talk about ordering KBTalking Pure from our end in the west as the developer is still trying to sort things out with the OEM.

Apparently there have been some unresolved difficulties that he was facing. He had even considered giving up the Pure and making them into Poker orders for those who pre-ordered the Pure or providing full refunds. Apparently some have been complaining about his holding on to the pre-order payments and the project has been delaying for quite some time.

The developer has just recently resolved some issues with the keycap samples but still yet to be able to obtain any commitment from the OEM regarding to the complete keyboard sample. He stated that he might get an concrete answer from the OEM when Race is shipped.

So, hold your breath guys..

Wow never seen this before, from looks alone I think I will like it better than the poker, its a bit larger (arrow keys yes!) and has back light!

I'll have to stay tuned to this thread to see where it goes.

I hope I can get the Poker in time to type on MX Reds to see if I like them better than browns then place an order for this with the switch type I like best.

I sort of wish my reds were as stiff as browns at their peak (50g?)  They just need a little more umph.  Other than that, I love that the feel of dirt in the switch is gone.

Sounds do me the MX Black would fit you best then.  After I get the Poker it will be the only switch I have not tried yet.  I have Blue & Brown right now.  I like them both but prefer the Brown by a good margin unless its a pure typing project so that is why I use them at work where I type a lot and the Brown at home.

I dont like how I have to let up on the key past a certain dead zone for fast typing in gaming and the tactile bump is so small already that I figure may as well take it out, so that is why Red was my next choice.  Black may fit me well too, I dunno I hear things like they are a bit fatiguing to type on and I figure the lighter the touch the better.

It's a damn shame - the thing that I love about the Poker and dislike about the Noppoo/Race are the custom keycaps.  But then I see the picture of the white Race with the lights on and almost all is forgiven... almost...

KBTalking has a shipping date set for their initial pre-order batch for Pure. I'll get into more detail laterm or iMav can probably inquire possible ordering info from his Taiwan connection.

I'm in the same boat, although I get mine on the 14th. I'm most likely getting a white version with MX Browns. It will be my first mechanical keyboard and I can't wait. How long do these group buys typically take to ship?

edit:  Well, if he had them 'in stock' then he'd likely change that thread title.  Aside from that since this is a group buy (and not in the classifieds) if you don't pre-order you don't get it, although iMav has previously been nice enough to buy a few extras just in case.

They do have their first round of pre-order batch being produced and will be shipping out fairly soon. I believe the pre-order here will be included in their next round of pre-order, which they just recently announced.
