So much better :D That keyboard is weird though, its slanted and like pseudo 3d 2d on the banner on the main page. ah nvm its just scaled badly.
Hope it gets them more business, they need all the money they can get so we can get new designs and products :D

So did they rename their spacesaver keyboar to Ultra Classic?

I see the picture of the spacesaver sometimes labeled Ultra Classic and sometimes labeled spacesaver in various parts of the website. Obviously it is still a work in progress but the best part is this Complete Unprinted B/S Set!!!

Once the website gets all sorted out it's time to initiate operation Black on black stealth Unicomp Spacesaver keyboard!!

is it even possible to make a silent buckling spring?  I know the idea will turn some peoples stomach, but if they want this keyboard to return to offices everywhere (ie: Making $$$) that's something they need to face eventually.

Looks like they did rename Spacesaver to Ultra Classic. Maybe to avoid confusion with their upcoming revived Space Saving tenkeyless/mini ?

They did rename the Spacesaver to Ultra Classic and the Customizer to Classic.

While what I'm really waiting for (like most of you) is a TK model, I notice that they now offer a white Customizer 104 (oops, I mean Classic) like they did years ago but didn't have any more. I was considering ordering a 101 but the 104 is what I really wanted.

You can also get them in what they call "pearl", IBM white. I'm planning on getting a set and turning my Model M into an ghostly all-white kinda thing.

EDIT: Do they sell keycaps (like the old two-piece keys), or do they sell the newer one-piece key style? 'Cos I need the latter.

Nice! Their website is less ugly than it was!
I don't think I like the new names of their keyboards though. Classic and Ultra Classic?
And it's really great that trackball keyboards are back.
I just don't get what "Replace IBM Keyboard" option is.
My favorite switches:
1. Buckling Spring (I love capacitive and membrane equally)
2. Topre
3. NMB (Space Invaders)

I'm still not sure about the renaming. They have the Ultra Classic which as we stated earlier looks like the spacesaver. But they also have a model called the QT104 spacesaver and the QT 104 customizer which both also look like the Ultra Classic.

Oh my lawd, I just keep finding more and more things I will have to have

RBG Printed B/S Button Set

Unicomp WASD Printed B/S Button Set

Unicomp LED Overlay
- I'm not sure what this is but it sounds awesome.

Still getting confused on some parts of this site though. Can someone explain the difference between this and this for me.

Does it have something to do with the fact that some of the B/S might be two piece keys, and some may be single piece keys like the keys on cherry mx boards?

I've been wondering what type of keys the Unicomp Spacesaver PC uses, single piece or two piece keys.

Silence in keyboards is not golden.  Part of what makes the IBM M Design superior to ALL OTHERS is the psycho-auditory feedback of the springs "breaking over", as you type, signalling your fingers via your ear-brain-synapses to stop pressing (bottoming unnecessary) and move on to that next key, now.  Many users are 15-20% faster on a Model M board - and this is part of the reason.

Yes, even IBM made a "Quiet Touch" buckling spring using silicone grease filled springs, maybe necessary in a library - but in an office - The IBM Sound is a happy sound!  It's the sound of safer fingers, hands and wrists from the evils of carpal tunnel!

It's the sound of Work Getting Done!  It should not just be accepted, it should be seen as the powerful symbol of American Commerce that it once was!

Achievement, Progress and everthing that should be taking place in an Office "brought to your ears".  The sound of enterprise! Your boss should LOVE this sound.  Silence, on the otherhand, should make him suspicious.......  ThinkpadFan.

I agree that audible feedback is extremely helpful, however lots of keyboards have this kind of feedback. Keyboards with clicky ALPS, Cherry MX blues, and even keyboards like some Zenith and the Kinesis Advantage (with a configurable electronic click sound). I always keep the click sound on in my Advantage, really helps avoid bottoming out!
I doubt most people are faster on an IBM compared to a keyboard with say blue cherries though, the heavier BS switches slow you down a bit, however they do feel great.

Website a good step in the right direction, needs a little work IMO, but much better than the old one! Not so sure about the keyboard configurator...anyway...

Quick! Someone give me the IBM part number for a space saving keyboard!

Tell us the part number you are needing and we'll build you a new one, (with a Unicomp logo of course)."

No, most of the click is from the spring itself when it reaches "catastrophic buckling". If you hold the spring/hammer in your hand and press it together at an angle so that the spring buckles, then you could still hear the click. It blew my mind when I did that for the first time.
You can remove the ringing in the spring with the "floss mod".

Yes it is. The buckling spring keyboards with individual key modules and contoured key caps were made and sold only in Japan. There are some very good images of it on Qwerter's Clinic.

I actually think this new site is less attractive than the old. That being said, I want a black one with green keys as per their sample someone posted above. That would make me unbelievably happy.
Got a smaller board with white ALPS, Montereys, Cherry Blues, Reds, or Clears you'd like to offload?  Shoot me a PM. Looking for a grey Leopold FC700R in particular.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

1. nkro
2. tenkeyless
2a. With windows keys
3. Available in pearl white (IBM white)

I will be glad to buy one if you make it.

Much more clean and professional. Before, it almost seemed like a default template for Yahoo or something. Though I wish they used higher-resolution pictures (and maybe it's just Chrome, but I can't click to zoom in yet).

And I don't know how exactly their Custom keyboard feature is going to work...it's not as thorough as wasdkeyboards, and I don't expect them to have a M15 derivative available (as awesome as that would be).
