Unrelated: I think this kid gets an award for youngest GHer.
And I think the three of us are probably the youngest GHers.
Got a smaller board with white ALPS, Montereys, Cherry Blues, Reds, or Clears you'd like to offload?  Shoot me a PM. Looking for a grey Leopold FC700R in particular.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

Heh. I don't know how old this chap is, but judging by his spelling...I would think you're right.

The Old Macintosh, we're recycling a working one of those tomorrow.

The colour of the number keys is good: I like the contrast, but it seems a little unfinished. Have you looked up the things other people have done?

What is happening to the WASD you're dissecting Dorkvader? I assume cannibalizing the stabilizers for the phantom project? What is happening to the switches/caps/everything else? Just curious.

That'd be a pricey way to get stabilizers when all the parts are now available for purchase in the Parts section

No, I'm still using it daily: it's great. I keep QWERTY keycaps on it to help with my Dvorak typing. I did take it apart and took pictures of the inside, though.

Hey dorkvader, could you shoot me the pics of the WASD internals please (dunno if WASD wants them posted online or not)?  I would like to see how much room there is in the upper right quadrant for a USB / media port mod.

There is a whole unpopulated PCB up there, so you can go with PCB mount parts pretty easily. I already posted pictures a while ago, but I forget where. I'll dig them up (or take more) after work.

Im guessing the design is close to a SS7G then.

well they would be the same im just saying they the probably took the same approach and put the controller on a PCB that the main PCB connects to via pins. I shall know soon I am cracking my WASD open to do some mods.

Looks like I didn't post inside shots: Here they are (I wish I had a camera!)

It would be pretty easy to get some PCB mount connectors and add some functionality if you wanted.
