Yeah you're right, I guess I was specifically asking about the 7bit layout. But that also means we can't get any set in here that will accommodate to the phantom 7bit layout.

I still don't understand this extra Phantom kit though. Show me a plate from the Phantom GB that can hold the x1 star cap on the right of the right Shift cap. Here are all the plates, and none of them have that extra key to the right of the right Shift, except the 7bit layout.

It's not strictly for phantom only. Tsangan incorporated Dox keyboard and another cherry board. It's just pure phantom by name.

Ah if it's not for phantom only, maybe Ragnorock should be clear about this in the OP. All that's mentioned is that it's "compatible with the Phantom keyboard", no mentions of any other layouts.

I attached an edited pic to show what I mean. For all phantom layouts (except 7bit layout, which is not even possible with this GB), the 3 green top right keys are completely useless. The diamond is in the same place as the "?" key, the right shift x1.75 is too small to fit any of the phantom layouts, and there is no room for the top star on the right of the shift key. The only thing this "Phantom kit" is good for in the Phantom GB is the four x1.5 sized modifiers, 2 x1 size in between them, and the x7 size spacebar. And even then, this is ONLY good for the "PHANSI150" and "PHISO150" plates. If you ordered any of the other 5 plates, this kit is completely useless.

Now if I'm missing something here, please correct me. I was about to order the "phantom kit" also, but I realized it's not even compatible with both the Phantom plates I ordered from the other GB.

those three keys were most likely designed to match a proposed dox layout (but keep in mind the dox layouts are not final yet). actually, maybe that's for the 356cl?

Nope, there are non-flat-rate Priority Mail branded boxes. They're usually on the back side of the display in the post office. (Or, if your post office is like mine, the empty spots in the display where they belong are on the back side, against the wall... *sigh*) You do need to use Priority Mail postage, just not the flat rate... so it may not be any cheaper.

I don't think the keys would all comfortably sit into a bubble mailer.

I hope we do end up finding a slightly cheaper alternative to international shipping in these free boxes! If I was in the US, I would get some just to store some of my own personal stuff in haha.

Because the number of keys won't fit. I had problems fitting Nyansets in them, let alone full 104 sets.

Snowboarder that link leads to where I get my boxes from, but notice how the vast majority of those boxes say flat rate or regional rate? I am not saying that you are wrong but if anything I'm just going to go down to my post office and see what they say about it.

I put the diamond and star there just cos I needed to put it somewhere, the idea was that you get two diamonds and two stars, and you can do w/e the hell you want with it. It helps the Choc mini grp as there are 3 single width keys on the mod row.

And the 1.75x shift fits the phantom layouts on the right side (PH7BIT plate).

What it's missing is a 1.25x shift. for the left side.

Anyway I think tsangan was catering mainly to the people with the weird 1.5x mods and the stepped capslock. I'm not sure about fitting for phantom/iso 100%.

Is there word on the pricing for the Phantom addon yet? I'd like a stepped capslock but am not going to pay a fortune for the one key like the vimcaps in Round 4. One of the styles is $20 for literally one key.

1800 shift - for Cherry 1800, Dox, and I believe the Phantom can incorporate this also which will allow an extra 1x key beside it, similar to HHKB/Pure

While the 7bit layout is very intesnse, there are many 1.25 modifers, small enter, small backspace, tiny shift, and HUGE function row keys, there is no way to incorporate that into this multi purpose set as the 7bit add on requires far too many keys by itself.

Nah don't think so as long as we don't do it at the same time it's fine and I spoke with Rag and we decided that to do this set first so A. people's wallet can rest and B. I can rest.

Rag, you should really rename this kit to something like "Uber Add-on kit", anything but Phantom. It's not even compatible with most of the phantom layouts, only two of them. And also just note that by getting this kit, you're essentially paying for a lot of keys that won't be used if for instance you ONLY want the 1.5 modifiers.



With that said, I'm interested in this kit, but only want 2 of the 11 keys (the x1.75 shift and x1 diamond), so does anyone else want to split this kit with me? you get the x1.5 mods, other x1's, stepped cap, and x7 space bar.

the base kit of this group buy already works with Phantom PHANSIWIN.  If you add the Phantom kit, it works with PHANWIN as well.  If you add just ISO, it will work with PHISOWIN.  If you add both the ISO kit and Phantom kit, it will work with PHISO.
