« Reply #390 on: Wed, 16 May 2012, 00:51:40 »
Does anyone have an extra base kit coming in? I've got a guy who's interested, but since I couldn't really order any extras, if he could pay one of you guys for one, and then I just ship it to him, that would probably work out well for all parties involved. PM me and I'll point you in the right direction. Also, don't be a **** about it. Sell it at cost. He's a nice guy who wants in on a nifty little buy that probably won't be run again. After they come in and they're yours, you can inflate them on the classifieds for all the chumps who totally missed it.
Got a smaller board with white ALPS, Montereys, Cherry Blues, Reds, or Clears you'd like to offload?  Shoot me a PM. Looking for a grey Leopold FC700R in particular.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

Guess what just arrived at my house? A giant box of keycaps! The dark keys match my WYSE set perfectly, and the light ones are a tad too light compared to mine, but mine could use a little retrobriting. I'll get them out ASAP, though it may be a bit. I'm in my last week of school, and then I'll get them on their way.

Crap.  Take some time off and what happens, someone makes a wyse moogle kit.  Well if anyone ordered extras or if there are leftovers, I need one...

I didn't order any extra, but I know a lot of members probably have an extra set or two. Shoot a PM to sth and see if he wants to unload another, and I'll invoice it up. Also, I'll take pics tomorrow in natural light, because warm house lighting ruins colors and I'm terrible at taking pictures.

I took a quick picture since I had some time. The flash on my phone overblows the color difference, though you can tell my caps are yellowed. It's the reproduction enter and |\ surrounded by a shift and a backspace pulled off a WYSE board.

That's not much of a difference. There's a large difference on mine with retr0brited keycaps mixed with new thinner ones, and it really showed up bad when I took a picture, so I imagine the difference will be almost imperceptible to me once I have it all put together in my dark room.

I'm so excited! I think I may change these over to the CMstorm red so the black case will stand out sharper against the WYSE colours.

Def. will do thank you!  and if anyone else reading this decides to go another direction, I would be happy to trade DS moogles, RGBs, what have you or cash of course.  Really just need one set to finish my Leopold - and actually I could leave RGBs on it if I just had a menu key, space bar, and a caps lock.

I went the other way and bought another wyse set for my second moogle.  Problem solved.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221033459373 really, does that need to sit on another board?  The only thing it needs is a teensy, maybe lighter springs if you have a vagina.

****. I have bad news that is entirely my fault. The space bars are not the universal ones that apparently exist, and are standard Filco ones. I didn't specify, and Melissa didn't ask. Sorry about that, any other Cherry stabilizer folk.

Get the numbers of how many people need it, then have a whip round for the cash.  I'd rather you made a mistake that cost me $4 than cost you $400 mate.

You could possibly sell any Filco style space bars the Leopold folks don't want too.  I'd buy an extra space bar or two seeing as how those are the first keys to get shiny.

Yup, I don't mind paying $4 more if that's what it'll cost.

cool so don't feel bad mate, mistake happen.  Your not a company, you don't have a customer services department, we're not going to kick off and be ****s about this.  Way I see it you've done us the favour.

tbh does it opens up more space bar choices? as a lot of the wyse ones are MASSIVE maybe some size options are a good thing?  If we're going back to sig plastics, did we miss anything with the first order?  I mean apart from only catering for filco users :P

I'm in for a space bar or two if there'll be an add-on order for "universal" space bars.

dunno what fits a Poker, but reading back through it sounds like Quarzac intended to order the six-post space bars that fit Cherry, Filco, and Leopold and ended up with three post ones that only fit Filco/Das/WASD and other similar boards.  Not the end of the world; I've modded space bars before, but it's extra work.  If the price is reasonable I'd definitely pop for another space bar if nothing else because a) I missed the GB completely (although I've already got two responses, so hope is not lost) and b) I intended to use my one set of Wyse keys on a Leopold, so I actually *would* have to do extra work even if I did get a kit.

What I don't understand is since SP apparently has the mold made, why they don't just consider the "universal" space bar the default for orders for a 6 unit space bar. *shrug*

Alright, so how would you guys recommend I go about fixing this? I haven't dealt with SP prior to this, so I don't really know their policies as per something like this. Should I just take orders on a 6 post space bar, and order however many we need and then try to sell the others? Also, if this affects you, shoot me a PM so I can get an idea of how many orders are messed up.

I'd suggest you email Melissa first thing comes Tuesday morning and let her know that there was an error on the order and how much would it cost to fix the issue.  First you might wanna check and see how many people are effected (myself included).
