Guys those won't cost 200 dollars, lol. They will cost just as much as normal Topre replacement sets.

Think about how rare they will be and remain, I'm sure even the Japanese people would envy us. Elitekeyboards would have no trouble selling all of his stock.

We would be that small and only community in the history of Topre that got the company to make them their own requested special key caps, based off some kind of weird prototype.

You are kidding, right?  This is not like I suggested people to double their keycap order in other SP keycap group buys to get to a *lower* price break so you pay just a couple more bucks to get a second set.  There is no such thing here.

Like wise, how do you know there *is* a price break?  We don't even have a definite topre distributor that would consider this. Who's to say there will be pricing at all?  Let alone price break?

Suggesting anyone one to double their orders to get to a 100 sets *at this time* without *ANY* additional information is premature at best.

If it's an industry-standard practice with pretty much all small-batch keycap orders, much less literally any manufacturing wholesale arrangement, it is more reasonable to believe that more sets = lower price than more sets = same or higher price.

If the price remains firm regardless of the purchasing power we bring, we can tell them to go jump in a goddamn lake and submit 60-100 individual orders to the purchaser, since that's what you get if you don't offer group discounts as a distributor for a product.  I'm sure the guys at the fabrication plant will be thrilled to have to reconfigure their molding 100 different times.

As much as I would love to get these cheaper than a regular set from EK; I am sure me and many others did not expect this. Now if they try to say $250 or something then I would be upset.

the POINT is, devouringone3's suggestion, although good nature, is misleading to other thread readers, because there is no price break.  There isn't even a price, or a distributor, or an agreement that topre would do this.  Noobs like you who hadn't read the whole thread but just read that post would think that is true.  Meanwhile you didn't read the thread, didn't know what really is going on, without any knowledge on how this group buy could or could not work, made ignorant statements, tried to defend that misleading post and your own ignorant post on "industry-standard practice".  That is why I posted your original post back to this thread.

IIRC, last update was that cactux was going to check with another Realforce vendor (IOMania?).

I talked to Iomania already and they are not interested in this project. Also I contacted Topre and I have not had any replay from them.

I have been sharring all my findings with 002. Just to clarify something here, I am not the one that organized this gb survey, I am just trying to help 002.
 
Next week I will try to reach another of my Topre contacts directelly, and try to get a the final answer from Topre.
