I use a Logitech G9x based on excellent from some geeks on this forum. I am basically happy with it--I don't know that it's the greatest mouse in the world for me, but it works pretty well. Now, however, a few clicks a day are not working. Which means in a month, every third click probably won't work so I want a new mouse.
I like this one because it has a wide base, which I need, and also the buttons are very much on the top, as opposed to being more in the front, like on some mice. I have tried such and learned that I rest my fingertips on the top and if the buttons are down on the front slope, I can't reach them comfortably.
If you look at the side shot here
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-pointers/mice/devices/5092 you can see what I mean. I click right about directly next to the scroll wheel. I also want a "normal" scroll wheel, between the buttons. I have tried the Evoluent mouse and it didn't' work for me.
So if there's nothing that looks better, I will buy another one of these, but I would be interested to hear any suggestions. I have no need of any special features--I don't switch modes and I don't play games and I don't need anything unique--just a normal high-quality mouse (with or without wire, I don't care) which is wide and has top-located buttons.
Thanks!
