They aren't priced at any extortionate price from CC himself, at one point they had to become popular and in such high demand, probably because they look cool and are made in such small runs.

some people do actually appreciate his work.

he is extremely talented (ESPECIALLY his vader keycap).. others just want it because it's the flavor of the month.

and good for CC, he deserves all sales he makes.
