Lol wins pro scene because it is easier to play at high levels, plus its free and has cute characters so that's 100% more potential fanbase in females...

The pro scene is as big as the number of viewers. LoL is easier to play and appeals more towards casuals. They have a larger fanbase. So when you watch IEM. Channel 1 has 100k LoL viewers and Channel 2 has 30k SC2 viewers.

Pretty much this.
LoL is a much more casual friendly game. SC2 is stressing for a lot of people to play and (this is no new concept. most commonly referred to as something like "ladder fear") as a result, (and rightfully so) many people don't enjoy playing SC2 .

I used to play SC2 very competitively. I play hard, long nights and fun. I now play LoL. And I still feel that same frustration and competitiveness. Neither are easy. LoL is not for casual people. Im a gamer, not a casual gamer and i still play LoL.
