I was craving an acrylic case after seeing pictures of litsters' recently but I'm not a fan of the clear. Still looks good but its not for me. Here's to hoping there are different colors next round! Or else I may have to try and make my own

Clear cases for electronics are not for me. But I might be interested in other colors.

Thanks for the pic Human! That's basically how the aluminum keycap will look like. The Chinese character of "Loong" is probably not well known by Americans and Europeans. So I changed it to a "dragon" image which should be more acceptable for most people.

There will be another "formal" 1st round of the group buy for sure in the future. It just depends on when I can get a car.

And of course, more colors will be available! Not just clear ones. Get your wallets ready guys

Ah dam I would prefer the dragon letter, its in my chinese name =). Should also make either the clear or frosted ONLY available now.

Well, I'll get some for myself actually, since 2012 is the "Loong" year in China. So if you prefer, I can change the dragon image to the dragon letter for the keycap.

FYI, most people call "loong" as "dragon" in English, even the Chinese people. But actually, loong and dragon are different. loong is kinda a Chinese version of dragon. And loong in China represents a good thing, and it was used to symbolize Chinese emperor in the past. But I think in western cultures, dragon represents some kinds of evil things.

Well I can only speak for myself when I say I rather have the dragon symbol, and I understand the meaning very much I have been told my entire life how lucky I was to be born in 88 which is why it would be more symbolic for me to have the word instead of the picture. Also is there color options for the keycap as well?

I wonder how difficult it would be to line the inside of the case with some plastic or paint. Like a nice blue would be perfect... and it would look pretty awesome through a clear case.

I really wasn't interested at first but I want an acrylic case badly :smile:. Plus the extra key is nice. Even though colored version are right around the corner. HMM.....

Oh sorry I forgot to say that, I meant I can change the image of the keycap only for you.

It's still the dragon image for the other people.

And yeah there will be some custom R4 aluminum keycaps available, but just very limited number at this time. Black, Blue, Red, Pueple are the 4 available colors. I wanna make it simple this time, since I'll bring more in the future. So for this time probably I'll just bring a few aluminum keycaps for each color. with 2-5 images. or leave them blank. besides tsangan I'm sure there are some others interested in blank ones.

Clear cover plus colored base? That could be awesome! Great idea! I'll talk to MKC about this when he wake up in the morning.

Always buy 2 one for use and one for backup

2 litster's acrylic casing
2 poker shells
2 SSK shells

The only reason I ordered this is because I want that free dragon keycap... that and to see feng bike to the post office carrying all 10 acrylic cases (tsangan's one on the bottom in case feng drops them so it'll take the first impact), etc...

What makes you say that? I think if you remove the USB inlet sub board, it would fit.

These cases look great! The magnents must be neodynium to hold the case together at that size: Excellent.

Bytheway, if anyone is worried about them messing up your computer: Don't be. You'd have to pretty much set a HDD right on top of the magnet to do any real damage. The only other issue is placing it too close to a CRT. Since magnetic field strength drops with the cube of the distance, anything past a few inches is really not a big issue.

Case in point: Apple computers. Their iMac has ten huge magnets holding the glass onto the display panel. I just recently rescued some from the recycle pile at work.
