Yes the usb one is completely programable vs the ps/2 can only be configured using the dip switches.

The 1.5 is sold and basically the difference is the number of dip switches and how they operate.

Im still sitting on both black usb dt225 trackballs since im basically out of the trackball world now days minus my m570.
