I am guessing they call it that because of the price point? Oh... it's because it's uniform. LOL.
Anyway, those are some good prices =).

Red LEDs is the real differentiator I guess...

Non-EK Edition:

http://www.elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=topre_keyboards,rftenkeyless&pid=rf_se1900

EK Edition:

EK Edition also doesn't come with the lavender WASD keys it seems.

Don't feel too bad.  WASD will have fullsize and tenkeyless Cherry MX Clear boards at the end of they year.

I will be buying one, I think that the WASD chassis is fulgy, too rounded and the bezel is pretty big!

Either that or Brian is getting out of the business.

Wouldn't everything go on sale in that case? (HHKB, keycaps, etc.)

It's nice to see 87u's at lower prices. I might even pick up an all white one.

It's basically a really heavy brown. Think brown but harder to press than black.

Not unless he's soldering the stuff himself.  Costar doesn't use clears and it's mentioned nowhere in his timeline for new products.

I'm kind of upset about the sales, not that the sales are happening, but I bought my keyboard for 99 dollars, and three days later it's 89 QQ

I would email them. They might be cool and refund you, or send you some swag. like a WASD cluster or something. You never know...

I did email them, they haven't sent anything back, most likely because of memorial day weekend.
