Well, its a bit late now for a full in depth review, but ive been using the mouse for a couple hours now and i like most of it! However, one thing in particular need getting used to (if ill ever get used to it that is); The side buttons. They are darned easy to press because they take very very little force to press and stick out a bit (both unlike my Roccat). When i grab the mouse like im used to with other mice i cant help but pressing a side button cuz my thumb is too thick to fit under the front left side-button (im a finger-grip guy). So i have to grip the mouse further back then i instinctively do, and when i do that theres no problem anymore with any of the buttons (i can still use the L&R and scroll perfectly fine when gripping further back). However this what bothers me is also a plus, because of the easy to press side-buttons im now actually able to use the ones on the right side of the mouse with my ring-finger. On my roccat i programmed those blank cuz i had to do finger-yoga to press em so i couldn't be bothered, on this one however i might end up doing the opposite; Blank out the left ones and just use the right one instead (which is actually better cuz ill still be able to hold the mouse with my pinky and thumb). Or i might mod the mouse to make the left ones stiffer.... cuz the rest is soooo nice
What i love about the Sensei;
-GREAT slippery feet! Really the smoothest mouse ive owned!
-Nice click-wheel, feels very solid with great tactile feedback and no chance ill accidentally scroll while i actually wanted to middle-click.
-Storing profiles on the mouse works like a charm! Software to set these profiles is easy to use (tho refuses to upload anything through my USB hub for some reason)!
-Loads of LEDS you can set all kinds of colors to, and you can upload a bitmap for each profile so very very shiny if you're into that kind of thing (you can also turn it all off ofc, making it a simple silver mouse)
-Crazy what you can set on this mouse... do i want 1872 or 1873 DPI!?! Omg what if one is much better than the other, ill have to try them ALL!
-The ability to swap between five profiles (and even change some settings inside the profiles on the fly) from the mouse itself is VERY neat!
-Looong cable, i think its like 2m long or something. Nice braided with ferrite core and gold plated connector (LOL)
-Large mouse, not for finger-grippers with small hands.
-Doesnt come with a fancy mousepad or anything..... just a stupid sticker i already had (same that came with the 6gv2). Given the marketing around the whole 'store profiles on mouse for switching between computers while retaining setting' i would have loved some kind of bag or something.
