Lol! I actually don’t really want to part with mine either, at least not now. Seems someone has to stumble upon a warehouse full of dye subs if they’re that popular. This kind of surprises me, I don’t know what’s so special about them…

I’ll start visiting junkyards again. :-)

Cherry dyesub US or US/RU is pretty hard to come by, and expensive if you do. Lowest price I've seen on US set was $100, and $350-$500 for RU. They seem to be most common in German and Italian layouts. I definitely wouldn't mind one of the Olivetti Italian sets with blue legends.

By any chance, does anyone know if you can buy reasonably priced Cherry MX keyboards/keycaps with Russian fonts locally in Russia? So far I have not had much luck finding any shops online. I will have family travelling there soon though.

Yes, China not sure what 'company' though. I'm arranging this through qtan. Got confirm on having both caps locks, still waiting to find out about 1.5 modifier.

I don't actually care for the RU legends at all. More to find a good manufacturer that isn't SP and to get more dyesub thick PBT so count me in!

Are you thinking about doing/creating other styles if this is successful? Would be interested in a Korean / Chinese / other random Asian version just for the looks...

All depends on how successful this goes. If all goes well, keys turn out perfect maybe do some other language next. Not plain US though, will leave that to the other Cherry replica project.

lysol, I think if there is a stepped caps lock(off-centered) in the set, there would be more interests in Korean community. :)
Anyway, i'm in.

Set will come with both caps lock style - stepped and fulltouch, and both modifiers size 1.25 and 1.5. Should be compatible with every ANSI keyboard that use standard keysizes.
Already getting close to 100 sets in just these few days. Keep spreading the word.

I figure I will let it run until July, should give enough time to get the number of orders up.

We need more orders. Can one of our Korean members post it on Korean forums (I'm not in the mood to wait 15 minutes for sites to load to see) if they have not done so?

For the Korean keyboard community to be interested it needs to includes stepped caps, and winkeyless, also while dyesub is cool and all not all of them would want Cyrillic and when they do its usually they want the official ones.

What are we at anyways?

Set will include both style caps locks and both 1.25 and 1.5 modifier so should be good for any ansi board that use normal physical layout like G80-1000 or Filco MJ2. We are only at 80 sets so have not met for target price yet. Could try lower quantity order but would probably have to increase price. I would rather extend time frame for order than do that though.

Well it's not exactly a 37 key set, since you'd need the alphabet keys and number row. Then there's the fact that I'm sure many people would want a full matching set.

What do you actually "need" the number row for, besides a matching set?
