welcome to the cat butt club.
well let me save you some money if you choose to go bigger than whatever you bought.
you need three things:
a base-size plug to start with (assuming you have a big enough stretch)
PTFE tape
emu oil, or at least vitamin e oil

you can use the ptfe tape to wrap around your base and increase the diameter by a few wraps every couple of days. then, when you get past 10-15 wraps, find something else a bit bigger and wrap with ptfe 2-3 times. the tape is nonallergenic and as long as you go slow you won't have any tears big enough to risk infection or blowout. i find corks work well for base plugs and you can get small ones at hardware stores. they look really neat too and once you're at about 3/4 you can start using wine corks -- classy.

the rest of that stuff i'm sure works fine but it's more than you need. most of those sprays and stuff designed for piercings are... fine... but they just help the process go faster. people have been doing this for a long time the "right way" and not tearing their lobes or blowing out. it just takes a ton of patience. for me it took over a year of just 'resting' at 3/4 to get to 7/8ths - i tried 3 times before in the two years preceding and every time my earlobes got way dried out and gnarly. you just gotta take your time :)  now, i still have tons of lobe left if i want to go bigger (soon...) unlike my friends who went quick and now have super thin gross earlobes.

of course gross is in the eye of the beholder... some  folks here probably think my ears are pretty icky :P

thats so sweet hahaha what plans have you got for it?

I'm going to make a toy mini keyboard for my son.  He likes to play/type on my QFR.  This one he can actually keep...and slober on.

I'm going to pop in mx blues + silver switch stickers + 55g gold springs + clear switch top covers.  So they have a nice click to it.  Then a small 3V battery, white LEDs, and colored translucent polycarb keys from SP so that they light up when pressed.

This is exactly what I used, it worked well.
My ears didn't really like wood or steel plugs, glass plugs are my favorite.

If anybody is around 1" hmu, I have some plugs for you!

I pierced them 2 weeks ago. Letting them heal maybe 4 more weeks before my first stretch. There's all kinda of people online who say you can go quicker but I'm doing the recommended length of time between sizes. No skipping sizes. Being patient. 4-6 weeks between sizes and using these healing products and oils etc.

Received delivery notification from UPS that my Dodgy caps had arrived, got all excited to open up the box once I got home only to find.... nothing! Nothing at all waiting on my doorstep, and UPS says I must wait another 24 hours before filing a dispute. I haz a sad instead of Dodgy caps   :'( :'(

Wait a day.  Sometimes they mark it as delivered then it shows up the next day.
Dear Lord I hope this is the case... if it were something easily replaceable I wouldn't care, but ma hand-crafted key caps? Say it ain't so!

I got some ear stretching and after care crap today.

Niiiiiiice, so you're finally doing it!  In your face, Halverson.  You doubter.

Now you'll have to turn the Many Faces of GH thread into your personal blog of ear-stretching.   ;)

Hell yea dude take it slow. :) enjoy!

Pussiessss! Rip that **** up! If you don't bleed, you're not nearly hard bodied enough.

My friend went to zero gauge right away. His ear blew apart. He just has a small, hardly noticeable scar now. Not a smart move.

Ruh, roh. I have taken the splash and received a nice blue FMJ case today from epzy  ;D

(no it is not green, the camera is just doing some strange stuff in low light :D )

Now I am waiting for some nice DSA caps, maybe I'll buy more stuff from epzy... like his Miami set which probably goes very well with this :D
